This used to be my Go to place whenever I went to Battle Creek. However new owners have destroyed an amazing establishment. Sorry everyone but don’t expect to be happy next time you visit. It’s just not the same anymore.

Arlene's truckstop used to be one of those places you'd travel to and just know you were going to get a great home-cooked meal. Unfortunately, another good one has been sold and is no longer a viable destination for good food. On my most recent visit I saw several customers get up and leave before even being served. I saw no less than two people have to send their food back. I myself had to send back the chipped beef even doused with salt and pepper it still had no flavor. And on top of that, the new owner closed down the restaurant two hours early on a Saturday just so he could go to a personal event. So if you've been there and plan to go back expecting great food and awesome portions, you will be disappointed. Arlene's truckstop is now a definite pass. Sorry for the poor review, but the truth must be told. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

The food was delicious but what hit the spot was our awesome waitress!! Fun loving and super friendly!! I don't recall her name but she's amazing. The all-you-care-to-eat fish was delicious and unending!

There were 9 of us, and they were very accomidating. They put tables together for us. Our server was nice and kept our drinks full. The food was very good and in big portions.

how anybody could fathom to break this place any less than five stars is strictly beyond my imagination and I have a very fanciful imagination. It was a truly awesome experience. I will definitely be making this a weekly thing.

Went in today sat sept.30 worst service ever..I sat down .I watched 5 tables of people sit down they were brought menus had their coffees and water brought out and there orders taken . I then had to call one of the 3 waitress over and ask it I was invisible..she said o we are busy ..I told her when I cam in you were not that busy then told me my order would take 30 to 40 minutes now I said I sat before 5 tables I pointed then out ..but she just said o we are busy ...to bad service sucks

Food was OK. The burger was nothing special and the fried perch wasn't crispy. The waitress was very good.

This place is the standard that all other truck stops should be judge by, we passed thru and stoped here twice once for breakfast and then for lunch. Service was spot on, and fast even though the place was crowded. The staff was friendly and attentive. The place was busy and staff did a good job keeping up with orders. The place was clean and well maintained . Do recommend anyone in the area take a stop in here.

They won't answer the phone in the kitchen or they will just pick up the receiver and hang up on you. Called back three times, the last time a female in the kitchen answered, said we are busy now, would you please call back and hung up on me. This has been going on for awhile, tried calling about a month ago, same thing! Feeling disrespected!
