Great family diner! I've tried their Coney dogs and their catfish. My husband has tried their pancakes and a 1/2 chef salad. I had a garden salad and hash browns with my catfish. I like my hash browns crisp. They did a great job! The garden salad was a good sized salad with generous ingredients. Their blue cheese dressing-- not bad! I admit I'm a terrible critic when it comes to blue cheese dressing--my mother made homemade blue cheese dressing when I was growing up. The chef salad was large for a 1/2 chef salad! Again, a lot of ingredients. I've also had their Rueben sandwich--very good and not greasy! They could stand a couple more handicap parking since it seems to be popular with the older crowd.

I have been here twice this week. The first time, we had awesome service. The food was not very good the first time. The chicken quesadilla had maybe 1/2 of a chicken breast spread around and the bacon in it was undercooked. The chili cheese fries had the soup chili on them rather than coney sauce, which I did not care for because it makes the fries soggy. The second time I tried the chili cheese fries with the coney sauce. The portion of fries I got the second time was less than half of what I got the first time. The coney sauce is just hamburger with a bunch of salt and grease, not a sauce at all. It is nothing like the coney sauce that is served in Detroit. It was so gross. The fries on the bottom were literally sitting in 1/2 inch of grease and not edible. The burger had absolutely no flavor and was oddly dry. The server never asked us how the food was, and neither did the cashier. Both the server and the cashier were unfriendly. With tip, I paid $25 for a burger and chili cheese fries; not worth the cost at all! I will not be back a third time.

The last time I stepped foot into this place, it smelled very strongly like urine. I immediately left. I don't think I'll bother going back even if the smell goes away. The fact that they would be open when it smelled like that is concerning.
