Ever since this place changed ownership the sushi quality is similar to grocery store quick sushi. This last to-go order will be the last time I will order or dine at this place. I spent $80 on the to-go order which turned out to be mediocre sushi where the quality was subpar, cut irregularly, and some of the sushi we ordered didn't look appetizing at all. I thought maybe it was an off night so I called and kindly explained that hey it seems like the quality is not there today...the nonchalant kid who picked up the phone just said "ok" and hung up on me without another word. Listen, if I am going to get grocery store sushi, I'd like to get grocery store prices.

Best Sushi in the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo area!We were shocked to find this hidden gemThe food is authentic, fresh, and so deliciousWhenever we crave sushi we immediately go hereThe prices are great too- especially for the quality I was expecting it to be a lot more expensiveThe atmosphere is very clean and calm and the service is very respectfulDefinitely go here - beats the rest of the sushi places in town by far

Today I had the Chicken Yaki with Udon noodle. Went for lunch and the place was completely empty. Please share and give them some business.

I've been by this place a few times. Today i finally had some extra time to stop for lunch! I ordered the teriyaki tofu with veggies ? it was absolutely amazing! The food came out pretty fast and the plate was still sizzling!!!! It was awesome! I will definitely be back!!

I usually love Ichimi but my order today was disappointing. I got two salmon cucumber avocado rolls and one plain salmon roll. The salmon was tasteless and the quality was similar to grocery store sushi. On top of that, the price keeps going up. It was $30 for three “simple” rolls.

Ordered four meals. Didn't receive the soup or the spicy cabbage salad that was supposed to have come with one of the meals. We got one set of chopsticks for all four meals. Got no wasabi or ginger for any of the sushi rolls we ordered, and we got one packet of soy sauce for all of it as well.

The atmosphere was dead quiet with no music playing at all, we Ordered chicken teriyaki, California and chicken tempura rolls, all chicken was chewy like cartilage and the California roll tasted off, to top it all off the drinks were somehow warm despite having ice, the miso soup and rice were good though. It's a shame this place used to be the best in town but it's fallen from grace and lost a customer

Amazing, INCREDIBLE customer service. I'm legitimately amazed. The owner went above and beyond to make things right even though they restaurant wasn't even at fault (delivery driver mistake). I'm definitely a regular customer now.

I'm heartbroken, this place used to be amazing. Run by a cute elderly couple who I'd see everytime I was in there with the most amazing chirashi. Unfortunately my experience today was just passable. None of the care or quality I was expecting. Looks like the ownership may have changed hands. I left half of the fish of mt 25 dollar chirashi virtually untouched, not fresh and poorly cut. Pity was a five star now I'm being generous with 3.

Worst sushi I've ever had. They recently changed owners and food used to be good. First, the waitress didn't speak English well and wasn't able to understand our order. There was only three tables seated in the restaurant but they managed to get every tables order mixed up and it took over a hour for my food to arrive. I ordered two yellowtail and one tuna maki rolls and there was hardly any fish and just a bunch of rice. All I could taste was rice. For $8 a roll, was very unsatisfied. Definitely won't be coming back.

We were passing through on the highway and it was a delight to have found such good sushi rolls. Each had a distinct flavor and were not heavy while still being very filling.

I had Seafood Yaki, my wife had Seafood Udon, both were UNBELIEVABLELY GOOD!!! Great thing our grandson is here in Battle Creek, a reason to stop after/before spending time with him. WE WILL be back, repeatedly!

They charged me $16 for udon that came with a singular piece of tempura shrimp that was smaller than my pinky.
