“I LOVE this place! I come here once a month to get the biggest bucket of delicious peanut butter for my family, a 2 hour drive.The store is so quaint and just holds a nostalgic feeling, although I only started coming as an adult. The bridge mix is amazing! I always leave with a little sack of that, too.My kids love it, too. They can pick out single pieces of candy from little bins or choose a package of more modern candies. If it's near a candy holiday, I like to grab a few special pieces for them.The part of Bay City it is in is really neat! Little shops and cafes, antique stores, and bars, all along the river with a paved riverwalk trail to enjoy.I definitely recommend visiting if you are driving on I-75. It's worth it!“
“They had all the somewhat obscure ingredients for an Aviation cocktail. Even more remarkable, after striking out everywhere else in the general area, they called me back after they had found everything but one liqueur. One employee spoke to another employee about my request, she knew where the only bottle of Creme de Violette was hiding, proceeded to use caller ID to find my number, which I had not left, and called with the good news. (I am from California and was only visiting.)That's outstanding detective work and follow through for a retail store! Both nice ladies were worthy of Miss Marple.“
“My boyfriend ordered and paid for a for a single chocolate cone. At the window he was given (and told baby chocolate cone). The vestibule was too busy for him to argue so he just took it and left. Last year I tried Mussel Beach and the girl at the order window was snotty towards me I assumed she just had a bad day so I decided to give this place another try. It might be a couple years before I decide to give them a third chance.“

“When in Michigan, do what Michiganders do! Eat Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream from Shamrock Dairy Bar if you are in Bay City! Being from out of town, we didn't know anything about this hot local spot, or should I say "cold" spot, but the happy-looking crowd in the parking lot eating huge ice cream cones caught our eye so we circled back and went inside to check it out. The freezer cases were filled with a huge selection of colorful ice creams and very interesting flavor combinations, some with a local connection like Mackinaw Island Fudge and Michigan Pothole and Moosetracks. Fun shop. Friendly service. Cute neighborhood.“
“Everything that my son and I ordered was really good but they could've put a little more mayo, tomato and ketchup on my fish sandwich as I don't like tartar sauce that's why I order my fish sandwich wit mayo and ketchup instead the chicken tenders were nice and juicy and my son really liked the double mushroom swiss burger wit extra onion and mushrooms and I'll definitely be ordering the root beer float again“
“The best ice cream! It's never a bad experience here. It's a little small inside but on a nice day you can go outside and enjoy the view of the water. The staff is always friendly and is good at answering questions. The quality of their ice cream is the best because it's all made in-house and just tastes so creamy and fresh. Definitely would recommend.“
