Bayou Grill is in downtown Belleville. I like that there is outdoor seating available outside. The food is hit or miss. I ordered for takeout the Pick 2, which comes with two main options and two sides. I chose the Catfish and Andouille Sausage with a side of Dirty Rice and Loaded Red Skins. Half of the dishes were decent. I don't have any complaints about the Catfish and Dirty Rice. The Andouille Sausage was tough and dry. Do not get the Loaded Red Skins! The potatoes tasted boiled and topped with cheese and bacon bits. They were awful, and I threw most of it away.

I went here with my boyfriend of 3 years to celebrate our anniversary, we sat at the bar and Hailey was our bartender, she is absolutely AMAZING, such a bubbly and funny gal. The service was absolutely amazing she gave great suggestions for cocktails, I got the Voodoo Juice and let me tell you it was sooo good. My boyfriend got a Labatt Draft for ONLY $2, you cant beat prices like that. We had the 20 Chicken wings and they are the best thing I have ever eaten. Highly recommend with the Bourbon sauce on them. I love the ambiance in the restaurant really brings out the New Orleans and Mardi Gras theme.

We had not visited in years. The food has gone down hill . I watched as the cook chopped the lettuce right next to a kitchen rag then moved the said rag with his hand before grasping up the lettuce and putting it in the bowl . The cucumbers on said salad were green through and through meaning they had been cut and chilled for some time. The waitress returned to table to see if we needed anything didnt bothe rto ask how the food was as I sat with nothing touched on my plate. To sum it up , we won't be back.

Went there with my boyfriend around 9pm. We sat our selves and had to wait for a waitress. We never received refills on our drinks and she gave us our appetizers with our food. There food wasn't worth the prices. The best thing was they had keno and pull tabs.

Unfortunately I think we came in on a day they were very very short staffed and maybe even staff that has no experience in the field. But they were trying their best. I appreciate the effort.

Being right downtown Belleville on main Street we had high expectations. Our waitress Avral was the best thing about the place my son's meal had a big long hair cooked right into the breading. The table is sticky the bathroom is gross one sink head barf in it and the other sink was plugged up with standing water there was piss all over the floor. Needless to say we were very disappointed.

Hire some adults to control the staff. The staff is very young alot of playing around and very noisy. To my surprise the food was awesome. I had catfish and it was very good. Everyone was happy with there food. Kitchen staff was out of control, they were louder than the bar.Stay alive kitchen staff. SMH

We were quite disappointed with Bayou Grill tonight in contrast with some past experiences there. I returned the drink as it was watery and too sweet. The waitress brought our hot meal first. When asked about rolls she said: oh sometimes we have it sometimes not. About halfway through the meal she brought our salads. Then she said: maybe there are some rolls in the freezer. Five minutes later she brought out 4 rolls. She never refilled my ice tea, which was watery. The salmon is listed as $19.99, she charged us $21.98. We each had one rectangle of a paper towel for napkins and we had to ask for napkins and for butter. There were four dried out desserts at 7:30 PM in the case. Not going back.

Extremely unfortunate that this place no longer cares! & before this place goes down in ruins. Hopefully the owner can start working at the location to bring it back up to satisfactory the chefs can’t cook or just Do not know how to cook or either just don’t care the food came out burnt sent it back and they gave us a whole Nother load of burnt food. Money is too hard to come by these days to be wasting it on individuals that no longer care. I remember years ago the parking lot will be full of vehicles trying to get into this location now you go there is empty and you still get poor quality food.

One of the worst dining experiences of my life.  We won't be back.My wife and I arrived at the Bayou Grill around 5pm on a Saturday.  There were two other parties who arrived about the same time we did: another couple, and a family with two kids.  There was a sign instructing us to Please Wait To Be Seated, so we did.  We waited for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only a minute or two.  No one seemed to be around.  Finally, a woman came out of the back and hurried over to us.   She told each party, in turn, to sit wherever we liked, and that a server would be with us shortly.Things seemed to be happening a little more slowly than I normally expect from restaurants, but we eventually got our drinks ordered.  I'm led to understand that there were staffing issues, one or more people called in or something like that.  It happens, and we weren't really in a hurry.  I did feel bad for the other couple who came in with us.   Apparently they chose a table where they were ignored completely.  My back was to them, but my wife murmured to me about what was happening.  When our drinks arrived, she pointed to their table and asked if someone was going to wait on them.   I gather they left after only having drinks. We ordered catfish beignets as an appetizer.  They were … okay.  They seemed warm rather than hot, as if they'd been sitting around a bit before being brought to our table.   I may have an imperfect understanding of the term “beignet,” but they seemed like ordinary fried catfish nuggets to me, breaded with a little cornmeal and seasoning.  I'd been expecting something more … I don't know … donut-y … some kind of sweet-yet-savory batter, maybe dusted with a bit of powdered sugar.  What I got–with the dipping sauce--was essentially a catfish po’ boy minus the bun.  If it had been fresh from the fryer instead of just warm, it might have been better. The entree was, admittedly, better.  I had the crawfish etouffee.  My wife had the coconut shrimp, with red beans and rice as a side.   The coconut shrimp were good--she let me try a bite.  She found the red beans and rice to be too spicy for her, but that's our problem, not the Bayou Grill's.  The etoufee, again, was more warm than hot.  It was tasty enough.  The sauce was flavorful.  The crawfish were plump.  But the rice seemed undercooked.  I kept getting crunchy grains mixed in with the rest.  It really detracted from the experience. We opted to get dessert elsewhere.I suppose it was mainly a bunch of little things that turned us off.  The food seemed not so much cooked as reheated.  The dining room seemed on the shabby side–clean and hygienic enough, but with light bulbs that needed replacing, strips of transparent tape stuck to the sides of booths, a forgotten napkin dangling from a chair leg.  The general impression was of a restaurant whose best days are behind it.  The menus may very well be the same ones they had when they opened, and that was at least twenty or so years ago.In the end, my impression of the Bayou Grill is probably best summed up by the alligator hide displayed near the entrance: flat, dessicated, and hanging around for God knows how long.
