The dates are fresh and soft, and you can choose those stuffed with almonds, macadamia nuts, pecans and other nuts, candied orange, lemon or ginger, chocolate dipped or plain. The small round shortbread cookies with date in the center are also very nice. Their gift packaging is luxe, perfect for holidays or when you are looking for a unique gift.

We stopped in today for the first time & had a pleasant experience. We ended up getting a bag with each flavor of the filled chocolates.The gentleman that helped us was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The chocolates were top notch, I'm definitely looking forward to our next encounter with these little delicacies.

Package was gift for a grieving friend. The chocolate arrived melted though I paid $20 for 2 day shipping that was supposed to be in temperature-controlled packaging. Very rude employee called to ask me to prove this. Really? I spent $100 for a ruined gift.

Love this store and everything about it. However, the last few times coming in with my friends have been unpleasant. This lady that’s always there(not sure what her name is but maybe she’s a manager) was rude and provided horrible customer service. Her tone and demeanor made us felt uncomfortable. Not helpful and made us feel rushed when she was taking our order. I want to keep coming back but might have to reconsider if I’m driving 40 mins here to feel unwelcome.

A little pricey but absolutely delicious and they have beautiful packaging. If you are looking for a fabulous hostess/friend/etc gift I highly recommend Bateel. We bought several Christmas gifts here and as well as a few treats for ourselves-YUM. The filled dates (especially with the pistachios) are to die for as well as Origin chocolates.
Overpriced for the quality. $12 shipping on a $25 item is just ridiculous. The dates were dry and tasted too sweet.

If you like dates this is where you want to come. You can get an assortment with a variety of nuts, chocolate, etc. As far as I know this is the only store of its kind in the United States. I personally am not the biggest fan of dates but at least you have options for gift ideas here. Very expensive though so think wisely about what you want
