Our servers and hostesses were very friendly and kind. However, I did not find anything special about their food. We tried a few things and the food was very bland. Not worth the money in my opinion.

The service and atmosphere were great but the food was horrible. My friend and I are both seafood lovers and we both ordered branzino. This was the worst branzino I have ever had in my life. My friend said the same thing. We could not even finish. Had absolutely no flavor, no salt, nothing. Just really bad. I do not think I would consider coming back here anytime soon.

Exceptional service paired with an unparalleled seafood selection. The farm egg appetizer and the Branzino dinner dish stand out as culinary masterpieces – both are absolute must-tries. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience. Due to its popularity, especially on weekends, securing a table can be challenging. Advance reservations are strongly advised to ensure you don’t miss out.

Wow! Colossal disappointment! The service was great and the ambience is nice but the food was really really disappointing. I don't know whether this restaurant has declined in its quality because I heard it was good but for the prices we paid the food was maddening. The pasta with truffles was dry and uninspired, the short rib pasta dish was also really bland and the noodles Were hard, The Dover soul was also very bland and the presentation was lonely and sad. Just a really disappointing dining experience especially when the expectations were high.

What an amazing dining experience. When I accidentally put the reservation in for the wrong day, they were super accommodating. The hostess sat us right away, and the server was outstanding. His recommendations really made the meal special.

Wonderful experiencing dining out at Forest! Our server, Vince, was fun and knowledgeable and able to make meals that didn’t fully exist for us. The food was amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the truffle pasta was to die for. The atmosphere was very upscale and chill, and they played great music. Will definitely dine here again!

Excellent service and ambiance, perfect for a date. Food was also delicious, only minor nitpick was the duck was a little overcooked. That was the only complaint, everything else was wonderful!

I had the pleasure of dining at Forest in Birmingham, Michigan, for a dinner date with my husband, and it was a truly elegant and memorable experience. The restaurant exuded an air of sophistication. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the service matched the high quality of the cuisine. I had the salmon, which was delicious and left a lasting impression. My husband opted for the New York strip, and he thoroughly enjoyed it.Overall, our evening at Forest was simply amazing, combining excellent food and top-notch service. It's a place that offers a remarkable dining experience, perfect for a special night out.

This restaurant is across woodward from the downtown area so parking is a bit easier. There is valet or street parking down the block. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of windows and a very clean look. The service was very professional and kind. They even split the dishes for us and brought extra plates. The short rib cannelloni was really good- it was a lot of meat to the pasta/breading on the outside and the sunchoke puree and roasted sunchoke were a bit sweet to balance the salty meat. I hadn't ever had that vegetable before (it is a but like a potato and a bit like an artichoke). The salmon was not very good- it was pretty bland and the crème fraiche sauce was watery. We also got the house salad and that was really delicious with avocado and pistachios, highly recommend!
