“Back once since this gem reopened. Elevated Middle Eastern food with top-notch service. Old favorites are on the menu but they also have more modern twists on traditional fare. Still small, so expect to be close to the people at other tables.“
“We came to Ferndale for some bagels, but while parking we smelt the amazing smells of Indian cuisine. We instantly changed our minds and l’m so happy we did. The service was immaculate and the food was spectacular. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated. I recommend the lamb tikka masala & garlic naan! So scrumptious!“
“First visit to this establishment during my visit to Michigan. Middle Eastern food Isa must when visiting. We decided to have lunch and this restaurant wasn't too far from the house. We had a wonderful meal and I couldn't say enough good things about this place. The food was tasty and service was great and friendly. Please check this place out and support local businesses.“
“Super impressed with Kabob Royale. I had a quick lunch here with my mom. We both got a beef shawarma wrap and cup of lentil soup. Both items were extremely tasty, the beef was tender and flavorful, prices were incredibly fair, and service was fast. Wish I had remembered to take a pic! Would be my go-to lunch spot if I lived in town.“
“Best food I’ve ever tasted in Michigan. The food is very juicy and flavourful and their customer service is beyond amazing. The chef brought us soup to the car since my wife was feeling sick. Very respectful guy and will continue to order here“
“I ordered the falafel sandwich, the falafel was crispy and moist on the inside and super flavourful. I hate dry bland falafel so these were a refreshing change. The ingredients were all super fresh and it's obvious the guys put a lot of care into the quality of the “
“I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the divine blessing that led me to partake in an Iftari at this esteemed establishment. While diligently engaged in my duties within the nearby vicinity, observing the fast until the moment of iftar, I found myself drawn to this restaurant. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the remarkable level of customer service, which surpassed all expectations. Moreover, the culinary delights presented before me were nothing short of extraordinary; each dish exceeded my anticipations, prompting me to indulge beyond measure. What truly touched my heart was the thoughtful gesture of providing complimentary dates and water to aid in breaking my fast, a gesture that exemplifies the spirit of hospitality and generosity. Furthermore, as I prepared to take my leave, I was pleasantly surprised by the esteemed lady of the establishment, who graciously bestowed upon me a complimentary dessert, an unexpected and delightful conclusion to an already exceptional dining experience. In reflection, the warmth of the hospitality extended to me during my visit not only nourished my body but also enriched my soul. Such acts of kindness and generosity serve as a testament to the noble values upheld by this establishment, leaving an indelible mark on my memory and prompting me to eagerly anticipate future visits.“
“Just tried your new Ft Wayne location yesterday. Having lived in Saudi Arabia for years, your food is as close to legit as I have found since moving back to the USA!! The chicken Schwarma and tabouli were soooo good!! The falafel was the best I have ever had!!! The pita bread was excellent that the Schwarma was made with!!! We will def make the 1.5 hour drive to go back and do it frequently!!!“

“First time there, we loved the food very much .. the meat was delicious and flavored, the rice if it was Mandy since it's Yameni restaurants would have been a blast .. The restaurant owner was very courteous and made sure everything we need was served and beyond .. a must visit ?“
“Shawn was very helpful he is a talented chef I believe cause if you can make food like homemade you should be a good cook they have a rich story and a classic dine in or take away I’m in love with Classic decor very good hummus and baba “
“Their House Salad is the best! Can't get enough of it. I get every time! The rest of their food is great as well. Well, I haven't tried their whole menu but maybe I should. Great service and I love the peaceful and comfortable atmosphere.“
“A hidden gem. I found this store awhile ago when I was looking for spices. They had all of the spices that I needed to make my chili. It would have been much more expensive and a bigger hassle to get everything at a regular grocery store. I have turned many people on to it who live in the neighborhood. Great food and sweet owners ?“
“Went here to eat today for the first time. Not only was the food good and the seating area nice, but the man who served me was very helpful with recommendations when I asked, thanks to him I ended up with a delicious bowl that I couldn't have been happier with! Definitely will be back again.“

Troy, MI 06315 11/13/2022 Exellent evening for six of us at a very fair value. Restaurant was friendly, family-owned and sturdy furnature. Whipped garlic and bread outstanding and had the women in our group overjoyed. My boneless whole chicken was marinated/grilled perfectly. Spinich pie was meh. Lamb soup and ground lamb fresh and tasteful. Great value - most dishes around $17-20. No alcohol. They really tried to make our meal special - checking on us often with frequent refills. Definitely on our "restaurant rotation" now. Restaurant/restrooms spotless. Paper napkins.“
“I found my new favorite spot! I went there for the 1st time today. My friend and I ordered lunch. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I’m middle eastern and I know good food. This food is it! Everything I tried is on point. Chicken shawarma, falafel and lentil soup. I ordered some grape leaves and tabouli, but I haven’t tried it yet. The workers are super friendly. Don’t let the location of this place fool you. It’s very clean and well kept. I can’t wait to go back. *thank you Wally & Jeanna!!!*“
“My family and I visited this restaurant October 8th 2023. Absolutely LOVED it. Everything about this restaurant was great. The food was great. The service was great. The atmosphere was, you guessed it, great. I also loved how the other patrons were very friendly.“
“Decided to try out Zara, have been wanting to for awhile. My wife, son, & I decided to try the Chicken Shawarma Bowl combo. Chicken, yellow rice (they don't have white rice), & multiple toppings & sauces to choose from, with different sides & drinks (with combo). The chicken & rice were a tad dry, & the garlic sauce was a little tangy for my taste. Otherwise, the taste was fine, & it was a decent size portion for price. The staff was really nice & friendly. We will probably try them again in the future.“
“Food is very good, had the red snapper and the shrimp tacos. Service is horrible and very slow. The place looks very nice it's clean for the most part just the table we were sitting on was not wiped down. I've been here twice only because the food is good.“
“Great food. Nice staff. Can’t wait to order from here again. We had a discount code for buy one get one free for a gyro. We ordered one pulled lamb and one steak. They were both delicious. Their Greek salad is great also, fresh with a great dressing. The only issue is that parking isn’t great, but definitely worth the inconvenience for the food.“
“Delicious food, always fresh and flavorful, friendly service, and an enjoyable affordable meal the whole family loves. Order in, order trays for a party, or have a relaxing casual dinner there, all of it is enjoyable!Kid-friendliness: My 5yo eats her whole plate when we order or go here! Healthy and delicious!“
“This is similar to a chipotle concept of ordering a pre-determined bowl or creating your own bowl. I really appreciated that when you first come in, there is a wall with the pictures of the different items you can pick for your bowl because I wasn't familiar with some of the items. I did a custom bowl half/half with the zartar steak and lamb. I asked for the kale salad and the blaze hummus. This bowl was magnificent. The flavors were great and it was good quantity of food. Everything tasted fresh and light. The hummus was perfect and the blaze sauce gave it the spice I needed. If I knew the blaze sauce would be that delicious, I'd of asked for more of it in my food. The bowls came with fresh warm bread (I saw them make it while I was waiting). I was obsessed with this bread. It was fluffy and warm and fantastic. It was a really nice size to come with the bowl. There were tables to sot down at if you wanted to dine in. I would 10/10 recommend this place.“
“Had Beef Kofka breakfast today. Great new dish for me. Great color with fresh flavor. Excellent family service. Warm atmosphere, with furnish needing some upgrade. I forgive with local economics being difficult (I live there) - food and service are primary value. In a flavor desert, this place stands out as an oasis of traditional cuisine. Will be back for kabob and off menu.“
“Selected this for dinner because my nephew wanted a healthier meal option than our regular fast food.Great choice, the food and service were both on point. We had Chicken Shawarma, Fattoush salad, rice, and soft drinks (combo). We had a sample hummus that was tasty too. It’s filling, 1/2 sandwich was enough for me.“
“Went there for the first time yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Authentic and delicious food, great and friendly service. Bought a bottle of their homemade dressing and had it along with leftovers. Our new "go to" for Lebanese cuisine!“
“I've never eaten Syrian food, but damn was this food delicious! The restaurant isn't really tailored to a sit-down experience, in my opinion. It seemed like more of a takeout place with a few tables, but the environment was clean and comfortable. The man working at the counter, who I assume was the owner, was very gracious and welcoming. He seemed to anticipate everything we needed before we even asked. The food (beef shawerma sandwich and horak isbao) we had were 10 out of 10. I'm vegetarian, and all of my options were clearly labeled, which was much appreciated. Just be aware that there is a $3 service charge per person for dining in, but the cost was well worth the personal attention we received. ?Vegetarian options: All vegetarian options are clearly labeled and there is a sizeable selection beyond just salad dishes.Parking: In a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available“
“Stopped here after shopping. Good Lebanese food, just what we expected. We had the lamb shawarma. My husband ordered the full lunch plate, with salad and fries. The french fries were just so-so. We upgraded the salad to a tabbouli salad - very good! Restaurant was clean, service was good. If we lived in the area, we would come back again.“
“Came here after working out at nearby LA Fitness. Ordered a 5 appetizer dish, and a chicken shawarma wrap. I was struggling to select 5 appetizers that had no onions when Savio the server suggested taboule, and that they make it fresh and can easily leave out the onions. It was wonderful! The shawarma was flavorful with subtle spices - super tasty. I ate half and had a great lunch for the next day. Savio, the young server was well informed on the menu and friendly. Nice kid that steered me to a fine meal. Fresh, healthy, great tasting food!“
“The place was very clean and you can definitely tell that this place is underratedVegetarian options: I’m not sure if they have vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: A variety of options, you’ll definitely have something that fits your needsParking: Plenty of parking space as well, there is lots of free street parking nearbyKid-friendliness: Bakery is very kind, was my first time coming and gave me a free sample“
“Food was really good, we got 2 large bowls with yellow rice, chicken, salad, torshi, black beans hummus and some sauce, it came with a fresh bread made by them, I liked the bread so much. Overall food was fresh and good quality.Staff were not really friendly.Bathroom was not clean. Very dirty! That was the negative point. We always go to the one in rochester, right across Oakland university, we love that location.“
“We have been here many time and absolutely love it. They are without equal on cape cod. Best falafel I've ever had. Their signature Mr. kabab chicken kabab is incredible! They are so friendly and tasty! There is no better MR kabob in Detroit town Andrew and Mason absolutely amazing workers.“
“The food is very, very good and so fresh! However it's a very awkward experience ordering in if you've never been there before. The front employees made it obvious they hate their jobs and working with the public. I'm definately going to eat here again but order online for a pick up instead.“
“This was our favorite Mediterranean restaurant before they moved to the grocery store. The staff are always so friendly and we continue to choose them over all other restaurants in the area. My go to is the Mediterranean chicken stir fry with rice! Try it, you won’t be disappointed:)“
“My family loves this place! I moved out of town and when ever I visit, I have to order a large tray from Al Mawal! On many occasions, I'll run into my relatives when picking up my order because they'll also make the drive to get these large portioned, delicious meals for the whole family!! The staff is extremely nice and outgoing! You'll see first hand that this is the best hole in the wall Arabic food restaurant!“
“The main and most important point is that that food was excellent. The restaurant had a great turnover with lots of customers coming in and out. My wife and I ate onsite. There were enough chairs inside by the window to eat at the counter on a cold snow day. The service was very friendly. We were brought a spicy sauce extra that we had not asked for out of a genuine act of hospitality which was much appreciated, very delicious and added to our experience. The grape leaves came warm, served with house pickles on lettuce. The restaurant felt authentic, like a family run joint. The food was definitely homemade and fresh, in all the best ways. The falafel sandwiches were perfect, the hummus was super delicious and ideal consistency and temperature, and having fresh made to order juices on the menu was a big plus too. Highly recommend for Birmingham. Clearly labeled vegan and plant based options.“
