I went here for the first time tonight (4/20/24) and I really enjoyed it. The food was great, the prices were good, and I’d describe the portion sizes as “just right”. Carter was our server and he did a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He was very attentive but not in a way that disrupted my eating or conversation with my friend, which is so important. I appreciated the vegetarian options and non-alcoholic beer on the menu, my only recommendation would be to add a bottle of red and white alcohol removed wine (like Fre or Ariel) to the menu, we non-drinkers are out here and we like options. Oh and also, Heineken 0.0 is better in a bottle than in a can, jus’ sayin.. but overall great experience! Thanks again Carter!Vegetarian options: Fettuccini Alfredo.

We came here for the first time to hopefully get some authentic Italian food. We did not have this experience at all. First we were greeted by a gentleman who was rude and odd. He sat us by the door and kitchen where it was cold and there was plenty of seating in the dining area in which he stated that’s all he had. Some of the food was cold and had no taste. Food was horrible. We were a party of 7 and wished we had gone to luxe next door. Place is over priced for Olive Garden food. (Olive Garden is better) the only good thing was the service. We will never be back again

Very expensive for the amount of food you get. Entrees are priced separately and everything else is a side dish I guess..so it just adds to the bill. they serve their pasta in a bowl...the one you buy in the dollar tree store ...I have the same bowls for soup. We ordered a couple appetizers....4 people and they had to charge extra for the 4th person. Normally it would be for four people. Don't plan on going back. Yeah you will probably leave hungry. We shared two desserts for the four of us.Parking: Took a long time to find a park...

Our server (older man with glasses) was very friendly and accommodating. The garlic bread with ricotta was to die for and the apple cobbler was one of the best desserts I’ve had at any restaurant. I’m definitely coming back here with my fiancée.

I love Sal’s so much. It’s super close to home, has great food, and is very reasonably priced. I love their chicken parm—in my opinion, it’s probably the best chicken parm I’ve ever had in my life. They are kid-friendly—we always come with our kids and there are always other kids there eating and having fun, so I don’t feel nervous about bringing my children there as a parent. And I love that its location as much as anything. I can walk there from my house if I feel like it, especially in the summer. And it’s right next to the Castle park playground that my kids love to play in. So, I love to go there for dinner on summer nights after spending the afternoon walking through Quarton Lake and playing with my kids at the Booth Park playground. It is also great for takeout, and super convenient for dinner on weeknights when we don’t feel like cooking. The kids love the Mac and cheese. My wife loves the gnocchi. I love the chicken parm of course. They also have great affogato and dessert. The only note I would have concerns their wine selection. I would maybe broaden it a bit, but it’s not a big deal. All things considered, this place is an institution.

Went here for the first time last night for a date night. We were there for about 3.5 hours up until close. We were walk ins and our wait was about 15 minutes. Our server was amazing and attentive, the food came out reasonably quick, and the wine was solid. I had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken which was awesome. Their Mozerella en Carozza is a MUST HAVE. I'm not exaggerating. The shrimp scampi is also amazing.. I need to know what sauce they have those scampi in though, the flavor is so rich! I've eaten at the vast majority of Italian restaurants in the Detroit, Royal Oak, Ferndale, Rochester, Troy, and Birmingham areas. This place will be a great staple for my wife and I. The prices were incredibly reasonable as well. Can't wait to come back!
