We really had a good time at Joe Muer West Bloomfield last night. The restaurant is spacious with a cool, relaxed ambiance. There's a dress code to eat here so be sure to adhere to that. Everyone in the restaurant was dressed business casual at minimum and it honestly added to the upscale vibe of the whole place. We started off with a dozen oysters, half east coast half west. The presentation was impeccable and the oysters super fresh. The lobster bisque and clam chowder were also fresh and lip-smacking tasty . For our main dishes, we had the miso glazed Chilean sea bass, the king crab tagliatelle pasta, and the crab stuffed Atlantic flounder. All three were amazing; filling and delicious and didn't sit heavy in the stomach. We ended the night with some of their coconut chiffon cake - which is a must have; its a combo that's impossible to describe but so wonderful that you'd wonder why no one else ever thought of it - and their cookie sundae. Again, perfect! But probably my personal favorite was the Re-Fashioned bourbon cocktail, which is, and I quote: "Knob Kreek Rye, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, Rabarbaro Zucca Amaro, Angostura bitters, orange peel". It's absolutely perfect, especially those who enjoy a good bourbon drink. Tiny sips of this enhanced every single dish and really made my night. Our server was Josh and he made the whole dining experience fun and memorable. He was super personable, responsive and attentive. Thank you, Josh, for a great dining experience! Overall, this place is fantastic and I'd recommend it without hesitation.

The scallops "Coquilles St. Jacques" was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Also, our waitress was so knowledgeable and helpful and patient with us taking the time to recommend and describe particular cocktails for us. It was a great experience for my dad's birthday.

Carrie D is the best. Food is excellent and her service was even better. Thanks for the great food and great service. Highly recommend.
Finest restaurant in Michigan. Huge selection of everything. Excellent service led by Ethan and his team for the seven of us. Ethan is one of a kind and really knows what service means. The Vicari's should be proud to have him.

The noise level in this restaurant is high and not consistent with a high end restaurant that they want to and can be. The high noise level takes away from the ambiance and value. The service yesterday was less attentive than in the past.
Came in for my birthday dinner, the service was amazing!! I had the whole Branzino and it was SO good!!

Sad to see what once was an amazing restaurant deteriorate so much. Warm (not hot) steaks. Average side plates. Arrogant server!!! That's what really made the experience unenjoyable. We will never return! Oh, and way overpriced for this food/service.

The food is overpriced for the size of the portion. Had I know they charge a fee for using a credit card, we would have brought enough cash or chosen one of their competitors. We won't be going back.

Our server Matt was absolutely amazing! His recommendations were right on target, the pumpkin sword fish was excellent along with the three 3 oz filets. Calamari was tender as an appetizer and we finished the evening with the famous coconut cake and hot tea. While the restaurant patrons grew in numbers for I'm sure what is the normal Friday evening crowd, the Aviance was great.
