“Loved the panko shrimp and fries, even if the shrimp comes out of a Sam's club or Costco box! Waiter wasn't sure, my friend was. Don't care! Now I know why some people make such a fuss over panko. I'm not one who usually likes any fried breading but this was delish! And not overpriced! Fries good too, not bland. We ate outside, much nicer than inside.“

“A a small town place with big city high end quality.Been trying to get here for a long time now and finally made it. I called for reservations the morning of so my ideal time was booked, but in retrospect that may have been a good thing. We ended up with a 5:30 seating, walked in at 5:15 and were immediately seated. I say it was good we went early because 2 very large, very loud groups arrived as we were finishing,,which was pretty much when I had originally wanted our reservation for.Jacob was incredibly nice and very attentive without being overbearing. I can't currently have alcohol and there weren't mocktails on the drink menu, no problem, Jacob made a suggestion and it was perfect, best part was it stickered at under $6 , which was so much better than a $12 fake drink in the city.I chose the aged NY Strip and my partner got the fillet. My was perfectly cooked as requested,, just between medium rare and medium. The fillet, however was a bit overcooked for medium, but was still very good.Carrot cake is HUGE, and was very good. In a different take on the frosting it had a slight hint of lemon that I feel was a nice addition. My partner however said "very good, but not as good as your mom's". I agree, but I like the differences from place to place. Do yeah get the carrot cake.To sum up, very happy with the entire evening, and we'll be bringing friends back in the near future.“

“Honestly this is the BEST date night spot. The food is amazing. It not only tastes delicious but the presentation is delightful. The staff are wonderful. Rarely do you find a crew that love their jobs and are happy to be there. The crafted cocktails are yummy & they even make up some “originals”. It’s really hard to narrow down my favorites but a few are her Crêpes, and Cedar Planked Salmon. She has certain specials that are not always on the menu, but when they are, I always go because I don’t want to miss it. In the summer, her gazpacho soup. Most recently their Pork Tenderloin with Spatzel & homemade cream sauce. ? And for dessert, her homemade Keylime pie. Wow! Wow! Wow!“

“I am having a fantastic club sandwich and fries for lunch. This is probably one of the best clubs sandwiches I've had. I know you are thinking how do you mess up a club sandwich? The layering is pretty dang perfect and fresh ingredients. Pickles are outstanding and my fries were crispy and hot. My waitress is a pleasure to have and so attentive. Prices are beyond reasonable. Always improving, always hiring quality help, always a good time.Kid-friendliness: This place caters to kids but it is still definitely a bar. No language restrictions or kids meal specials. “This is one of those places that you come across and you put a checkmark in your brain to visit again, and we have now at least 5 times since our first visit a few months ago. Nice and clean restraunt and friendly staff. Food prices are surprisingly affordable and the quality of the food is top notch. One of the few places I can get actually good tasty bacon unlike many that are turning to using the junk microwavable thin plastic looking junk bacon. I always like to leave some constructive criticism on my stellar reviews because no one or no business is perfect including myself so I would say their ice cream parlor although a great idea the ice cream tasted stale and like it's been sitting in the deep freeze awhile. It prob has as I doubt right now their going thru it very fast. I'd shut that down when ice cream season is over as the ice cream wasn't good. And the hours (due to lack of help) could be better but I understand they need to find someone to work to get back to normal better hours so I won't fault them for that. If your looking for a clean cozy warm and welcoming place to eat any meal this should be on your list. No thrills but solid good quality food and service. Def will continue to be a repeat customer as long as this place continues to consistently impress!“
“This diner is me and my father's FAVORITE place EVER. We go there almost every weekend, and the food is always delicious! The employees are always very nice and know us, and the drawings left by one of the employees that are at the register glass are lovely. “We love the chicken quesadillas! We usually order the quesadillas as a take-out and the staff packs up the quesadillas separate from the toppings to ensure they don't get soggy on the drive home. The quesadilla alone has a lot of flavor and perfectly crisp, but it also comes with plenty of delicious toppings and sides to go along with it. The staff is always very friendly and has our food ready in a timely manner no matter how busy they are. Definitely our favorite place to get chicken quesadillas from :)“

“I've been coming here since I was a kid and they're still one of the best places for a good lobster bisque and filet mignon. The service is usually pretty good and I always enjoyed getting to sit by the tennis courts to watch people play if/when they're there. Make sure you look up the hours and days they make the bisque otherwise you won't get it. Special days only but definitely worth it. I'd be sad if the restaurant closed because it's nice for a special occasion.“
“Seems like we always make our way to Clarkston and the Union every trip to Detroit even though it's gotta be 30/40 minutes out of the city.We flew into Detroit for a family visit last week and went to The Union on our way to family house. The food is always lights out and that day was no different! Chicken noodle soup was outrageous. Of course we got the famous Mac n Cheese, two orders actually as one was for us and. The other to take along to the house and share. The surprise winner though was the homemade meatloaf! “There was about 15 of us that went to Art and Jakes in Clarkston on Sunday for a Detroit Lions game. We arrived a few hours early knowing there would be many people coming for the game and got a great spot in the bar area. Our waitress, Kendall, was nothing short of outstanding. The place got absolutely packed for the game, and we had different groups joining our table throughout the day, and this girl never got rattled or lost the friendly smile on her face. If we needed an extra chair or two, management was on it. From someone who spent 16 years in the restaurant industry, I know when people just get it right and they do. The food is great too, but the service is what I call "winning at the margins". It was such a fun atmosphere and a great time. “We had the best meal we’ve had in MONTHS. We both got steaks. I got a filet and hubby got New York strip. Both were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sweet potato side was like a dessert. “The Fed is a very beautiful restaurant with amazing food. Myself and five friends went to the Fed on a weekend for brunch. we shared the begniets as a starter and they were delishes. I had the short rib hash and it was very good with great flavor but a big piece the size of a small apple of meat and fat was in my dish. It was inedible and the chef informed me that is how short ribs cook. Two others in my party had the same dish but without this problem. I also was a little upset with the $10.00 a person deposit collected at the time of the reservation and put toward our bill at the time of service. The $2.25 non refundable service fee for charging this deposit was an insult. The restaurant was never without empty tables while we were there, the food was amazing and I might say worth the splurge but these required deposits and service fees will be part of my decision to eat there again.“
