Wanted to order Mantu but they were sold out and its Friday, they dont have any Naan/roti/bread either. So bought the following chicken kebob Chaplee and lamb kebobs. Chicken and Lamb were cooked great, but Chaplee was made from old stale ground beef. That was BAD. Rice are nothing like Afghani palao, they smelled like indian rice from next door restaurant. There was no shredded carrots or any beef stock to give the pure afghani flavor. The chutney was not spicy or flavorful. I come from afghani background so believe me when I say it needs to feel authentic not confused. And prices for the amount qualify of food was High! Sad was really looking forward to it.

Terrible, drove all the way to Canton from Rochester hills thinking to give it a try. Spent almost $85 on skinny no meat kabob. Never again.

Mediocre. You could get better food at middle eastern restaurants.

I really liked their food, very good kebabs. My new favorite place in Canton.

It's okay. I tried it for the first time. I tried Chicken combo and lamb. It has way too much rice and way less meat. I would rather get it from a middle eastern restaurant.

We purchased dinner for the first time at this establishment. I have to say my wife and I eat a lot of rice. Their rice was the BEST we have ever had and they served a lot of it in our dishes. Food was all good but the rice we have had for 3 days now they gave us so much. You have to try this place!!!!

It was my first time visiting, but it definitely won't be my last! The food was phenomenal, my family was very pleased. I've never had lamb that tender before, they might have spoiled me from eating it anywhere else, lol. The salad tasted so fresh, and the rice was plentiful. The only negative is that it would've been nice if the rice had a little more flavor to it, but everything was really good and went well together. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars, so all that I can say is go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Before tonight, the only time we ever had Afghani food was at a restaurant in Boston. After hearing that Michigan's first Afghani restaurant opened in Canton, we ordered takeout. It was pretty good, but definitely more fast-food like than our previous experience. Of the menu items ordered, we enjoyed about half of them. The Mantu dumplings, lamb and rice were very tasty, while the Bolani (potato bread), Chaplee kabob and salad were less than memorable. I appreciated that the owner offered curbside service and allowed payment over the phone. My real issue with this restaurant came later when I added up our items and was confused at the total which was around $55. I called the owner the next day to inquire if there could've been a mistake. He asked which menu I ordered from as there are two, one which says "Our Daily Bread and Grill" at the top with the address and another which is titled "Afghan Grill" (also with the address). I explained that I ordered from the menu on their website ( which he insisted was not the correct one. Regardless, even the prices on the "Afghan Grill" menu, which I eventually found on a third party site, did not match our total. We went back and forth for a bit without resolution, which cemented my decision that we would not be returning. Overall, I thought the food was decent, but overpriced for what we received.

Great take out. Meat was spiced very well and customer service is very good.

Food was great! Could use a bit more broth in the rice, but the spices were great and I honestly really liked the rice as well as the chicken kabobs.
