It was definitely different. Loved the show when the chef was cooking the food right in front of you. Never had that experience before. The food was great too.

This might be the last time me and my family visit. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up and portions have decreased (they already had lunch and dinner prices but this time we noticed the portions were decreased on most items). Recipes have also changed such as the amount of seafood in the crab rangoon and I believe it was cheddar cheese that was mixed in there that added a little sharpness to each bite, and the miso soup seemed a little sweet. Salad was not included with our usual orders. Finally, for a family (not of 'party size'), an 18% tip was already included after taxes on our bill. On the merchant copy of the receipt, the amount with the tip was noted as pre-tip amount, which makes it seem like no tip was included.

This was my favorite place to go but now after today i dont think my family will be back any time soon....after the chef finished up our food my husband pulled a super long straight hair out of his food we let the chef know and he pretty much laughed and said it wasnt his hair but it wasnt ours either we told him to get the manager and we let her know that we wanted it to be remade and they agreed. So we asked if they could just remake it in front of us and she said yea ....so when the chef came back he was pissed slamming his utensils he rushed the food and the second time around it was not good at all!!! It was so disappointing!!

Our server was acting like he could not hear and some things we asked for we never got. We normally come here for birthdays and things. Today was a party of about 20. When it was time to pay everyone gave money and cards. I’m the matriarch of the family and it could have turned ugly because the waitress literally SNATCHED the receipt out of my hand til the sound of everyone at our table stopped. The service was not acceptable so I believe we will take our parties where our money is appreciated.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon and wasn't too busy, so we were able to get seated right away. I got started with the crab rangoon as an appetizer, and it was amazing. I chose the Steak & Shrimp hibachi dinner, and it never fails me ?.

They must have switched owners. I’ve been coming here for years and the food used to be great but the last two meals were awful. I’m not going back there again.

I guess back in its prime time opening it was a beautiful and seemingly exotic place to go? You walk in to weathered doors and dirty floors with no kind of mat or decor at the entrance. The chairs have these cheap cheesy looking covers on them. They had one server on a Friday night, at least thats what we saw on the grill side. The nice part of the night was presentation of when the chef was cooking the food, they make it entertaining. The salmon did not look or taste like salmon but it was very fishy. The chicken was not organically raised and was a little tough, and they dont give you any condiments unless you ask. Now when you get your bill, be prepared for the automatic 18 % gratuity they add on and dont mention to you...guess this is the new norm? Overall, I appreciated the way the chef handled special requests and cooked food for those with certain food allergies first. I certainly wont spend that kind of money again on low grade food.

Never again! I would give it zero stars if I could. The place is dark and grime looking. The price from the website order options different than what I had to pay when I picked up my food. I ate the food, something was peculiar. Later that day, I was with some stomach upset for days after.

The ratings and reviews for this restaurant are way too high. We read the reviews before visiting the location. Reviews made it seem as if the restaurant was magnificent and food was excellent when in fact it’s the opposite. The inside is old and outdated. We wanted to try both sushi and hibachi so we ordered both. Sushi and hibachi were mediocre and overpriced compared to other Japanese restaurants in metro Detroit. Sushi had no taste and some rolls were too big to bite. Chicken and steak Hibachi with fried rice was tasteless too. I do not recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for excellent sushi, visit Oyaki in Dearborn Heights. The best sushi, fried rice, and other Japanese dishes in metro Detroit. You will not be disappointed.

A somewhat hidden gem in the madness of the Canton commercial space. Food was good and the Hibachi chef did very well in handling food separation. (There was a shimp allergy at the table.) Being closely priced to Sapporo, the food was better with more flavor and with good service.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu for both kitchen and hibachi with kid-friendly portion sizes. Generally half of the full entree price.Wheelchair accessibility: There is 4 marked handicapped spots at the front entrance, with ample space for aiding the disabled out of vehicles. Doorways are wide enough for wide wheelchairs and there is a lot of room for wheelchairs at the tables. Chairs and the table top are lower than other places around.A note for those legally blind or that have trouble in low-light: The lounge area and the Hibachi wings are not well lit. Use a cane or have someone to guide you to your seat.
