“The fact that I couldn't take my coat off to eat while I'm inside the establishment ...it was freezing in there ? however the food was good the service was ok I said ok because we got our food and 5 minutes later got our silverware after asking and this was my first time here and my mom birthday not a good experience ? if I come back it will be for takeout only“

“A nice breakfast/lunch place, 1 of 3 locations.Greeted quickly by a smiling lady when we walked in at 11 am on a Thursday. Seated in a big, wraparound booth with several tables. After being open 5 hrs already this place is really clean. Not just the tables, but the seats & chairs as well as the carpet.The menu is huge so I had ask for more time twice from the server. They are really efficient folks.My inability to decide took me, eventually, to the daily special (only $6.25 before 11, $7.25 after) while my son got the Horn of Plenty, a Dutch Baby filled with fresh fruit & whipped cream. The Garden Surprise is a veggie & cheese filled version. There are several other Dutch Baby options as well as the larger German pancakes, crepes, waffles, Belgian waffles, omelets, salads, soups and sandwiches.My son nearly inhaled his fruit-filled breakfast while I enjoyed all my eggs, bacon, fried potatoes & biscuits (with honey, of course) at a slightly more leisurely pace.We'd definitely come back.Vegetarian options: Vegans might have some issues due to their more restricted dietary choices.Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, off course it's kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Could be a bit tight in a few spots but otherwise good.“

“DEEEEEE-LICIOUS!!! If you like boba - you have to check this place out! They are always inventing new drinks and if they have they ingredients, they'll get creative for your drink too. They also carry some off the wall snack foods too.We have them come out to our events to sell refreshments and snacks for fans. We like them that much! Highly recommend!“

“We came in on a busy Saturday morning and the staff was so kind and quick. They put us down on the waiting list and in less than the time promised, we were seated. The food was incredible and came out so fast. I got the Elvis French toast. So so good and huge portion! Our waitress was Sydney and she was on point. We loved her attention to detail and easy-going demeanor. We will be back and cannot wait!“

“Umai cafe is the perfect spot for lunch after a winter hike. The cafe is clean & cozy and the staff were very kind. The food was good and the chocolate avocado smoothie was decadent. The miso soup and potato salad taste fresh.The cafe has a projector to play video clips and gentle music to create a pleasant atmosphere. The cafe is tucked into the corner of a strip mall, and is situated next to a fitness studio that unfortunately has no soundproofing so for a portion of our visit the loud noise had a negative impact on the experience.I look forward to visiting again and love that there is a local spot for avocado smoothies and fresh onigiri.“

“I love this place so much. It is so cute inside and their teas are so yummy. I get the same order every time, passionfruit tea with mango boba. They are a tad bit overpriced though. I've also had the ice cream which was decent but the bubble waffle was super good.“

“The waitstaff there is almost always amazing and they turn over a lot of tables. There is usually a line out if the door waiting. This location in MI always prepares the food better than any other location. My only concern is the amount of parking versus customers. I love the family friendly atmosphere and good food.“

“The waffle cafe is amazing! Great food and music! It’s a whole vibe. We were able to eat in the lounge area! I really loved the watermelon lemonade and the lavender as well. I ate the trio waffles and did a sweet and savory combo. I enjoyed the buffalo waffle, the banana pudding and strawberry cheesecake waffles. Ohhh weee! Proud of the owners! Larry awesome job man! I also love that this place is actually in Detroit! And Black Owned! Support!“

“This is a great spot for breakfast. It can be busy but the turnover is fast. Staff is excellent, especially for what seems to be happening in a lot of places. Food is solid and always hits the spot. I tend to stick to omelettes and skillets, but their sweeter options (pancakes,etc.), also look yummy. Very family friendly and down to earth, but they seem to have figured out a formula that works well! It’s not a bougie, boozy brunch spot, but if you’re hungry for good breakfast food (even past breakfast time), I highly recommend!“

“Outstanding chicken sandwich and excellent customer service. I forgot my lunch, saw Heavenly Chicken and Waffles near my office, and decided to give them a try. So glad I did. The guys were super friendly, helpful, and even walked the food to my car when it was ready. The chicken sandwich was fantastic--made to order; juicy and crunchy; well-seasoned; and on a brioche bun with fresh accompaniments (pickles, mayo, Bermuda onion, baby spinach). Another nice surprise-- it also came with a bottle of water and fries. Fried were great--hot, crisp, with just enough seasoning. Great presentation in the to-go box and traveled well the five minutes back to the office. Will definitely be looking for Heavenly Chicken and Waffles again to try their spicy chicken sandwich next!“

“We came all the way from Canada to try their sweets and so happy we did , very delicious and their arabic coffe is amazing , the most kindest two owners , didn't even let us pay for our water and added more stuff and didn't charge us , 100% recommend for their amazing sweets and drinks and most importantly their customer service is amazing“

“This food is just what the family ordered. Down home style cooking!! I had 1 waffle and shrimp and grits w/ cheese. The waffle is a great balance of fluffy and crispy. The shrimp and grits are delicious just not as thick as I'm used to. I will definitely be back for another go round. This place is a must try!!“

“Had a Zoe’s skillet and it easy surpassed my expectations when it comes to taste. Service was excellent, Our server Ray was more than happy to take our order and provide us with great customer service skills. Will be back again for Sunday Breakfast!!“
