This is honestly my favorite coffee spot. Wonderful pastries, lovely coffee and atmosphere. However, this morning I had a strange experience— got my usual order (honey lavender latte), but it tasted burnt and like there was no syrup in it at all (totally not a typical experience there, btw). With anxiety coursing through my veins, I gathered the courage to ask for my latte to be remade, which I have never done, and hate doing. The woman at the register gave me a suspicious look, almost like I was trying to pull a fast one, or steal something even though I was handing her the full cup of coffee to be replaced. Just very hesitant to adhere to such a request. It made me feel ridiculous for even asking... Instead, a barista, who was absolutely lovely, approached me and kindly offered to remake it for me. It was delicious. I was thankful for her willingness to interject into that conversation and help out (even though she was already incredibly busy and working her tail off.) All-in-all though, my experience with the woman at the register made me feel yucky and unvalued, as someone who very regularly spends $7.50 on a coffee there.

Okay desserts and beautiful space but stale service. Went on a Sunday and felt unwelcome by the two service workers. One young girl on register and an older man making the coffees. Not sure if I would make the hour drive to give this place another try.

A very cozy bakery with delightful drinks to experience both hot and cold. We got an almond croissant, blubleberry danish, and both were delicious. We also tried the honey lavendar iced latte that alone is a 10/10. The decor is also very cute. This restaurant is right off Main street. It's best to park in back. Katelyn was very nice and personable.Dietary restrictions: They offer milk alternatives, but you may have to request.

If there’s a rating less than 1 star on here, I would not hesitate to give it. There is NOTHING Japanese about this place. Not the pastry, not drinks, not anything. The pasty items are your ordinary American pastries that taste mediocre at best. I ordered a traverse city cherry tea and it was bitter and diluted. I just can’t.

The quality of White Wolf has dropped substantially in the last few years.Everyone who is complementing the croissants and quiches - please know those are from Crispelli's. There are certain cakes that are from a different bakery, as well. They are not labeled appropriately, so you may need to verify with staff what is actually made in house.I was excited when there were new house pastries to try. I tried a small citrus cheesecake (not the usual yuzu lemon slice), matcha azuki cheesecake, and ube pudding. The cheesecakes were so bland. I understand it's Japanese style, so there will be less sugar; the issue is not sweetness but flavor (I will say it was a perfect level of sweetness).I would have expected more red bean in the matcha cheesecake, but there's just a little dot on top. I didn't get much matcha flavor, either. The new citrus cheesecake (the one with little divots in it filled with a curd) needed more citrus flavor and had a weird film on the outside of the pastry. I peeled it off to avoid eating it. It almost felt like a film from being left open in a fridge? I'm not sure if it was that, or an intentional layer. The ube pudding was fine. Again, not enough flavor. Only the color let me know it was ube. The caramel on the bottom overpowered the flavor of the pudding. The little container was super cute, though. The coffee is no good. I'm a barista and the espresso tastes off. Management should make sure the baristas know how to properly dial in espresso and that it's being checked throughout the day.The coffee selection and espresso drinks used to be top tier at White Wolf up until last year. It's better to walk across the street to Sabbath.Atmosphere is nice enough. Staff was not friendly the last two times I visited. They seemed annoyed at the fact I was there.I just would like to see 2022 White Wolf back. Things have been bleak there since then.

This place has gotten pricier and the quality has gone down. They cut their white bread loaf by 1/3 and are charging the same price as before. The bigger size load of regular plain white bread is $15! Not that it has any gold in it or anything so not sure how they thought $15 for a loaf of white bread is even okay. Artisan bakeries selling much better quality bread won’t even charge this much. The cashier tried explaining that it’s “jumbo” size. It’s slightly bigger than what the usual size was but you still can’t convince me about the price. For the rest, $9.50 per slice of crepe cake or $8 for a tart. And $3 per macaron that look like they were made by kids. Too pricey for the small city of Clawson.

I got an earl grey crème brûlée, an almond croissant and a matcha swiss roll cake slice + an unsweetened matcha latte with oat milk. Both the croissant and the crème brûlée were good but I've definitely had better...would recommend going to a classic french bakery for those. The matcha swiss roll cake had a red bean cream filling and was absolutely amazing. Additionally, they made the best matcha latte I've had since moving back to the area! Will definitely be back to try more things.

Been here about three times and every time I have been disappointed. I will not be returning sadly. Pastries and cake are super bland. Chai latte is watered down for $8. The workers don’t seem to like to answer when you ask them questions. Bummer since the location is nice. Hope management can improve things for their future.
