It took more than 40 minutes for one drink that’s way to much and it’s not worth

Bambu is the best boba spot. The options available, flavor of their drinks and even the toppings are better than Kung Fu Tea and other boba places in my opinion. This is the only place where every time I get a drink it never disappoints. The macaroons are also very good. What I especially like is that with the no sugar option(aside from the syrup) it’s not too sweet at all. At another boba spot(not bambu)I’ve had the no sugar option as well and was left disappointed, my drink was overwhelmingly sugary. Great place to go for a treat?

I originally visited this Bambu location when they first opened in early 2021. Back then, I tentatively gave the boba a 1/5 score, writing in my notes that my drink was extremely sweet and that the boba was rock hard. I also got the che, which is actually what Bambu is known for, and that was a bit better at that point in time. I figured that they probably had some consistency issues since they had just opened. Recently, I decided to go back and try them again. Black Milk Tea, Half Sweet w Boba ($6) - Half sweet is barely sweet this time for some reason. My guess is that with the current drink construction, full sweetness is similar to half sweet at other boba places. Or perhaps it's their inconsistency showing. The drink overall has a decent black tea fragrance and taste with a slight tannic astringency. The boba in the drink is small and moderately hard with some chew, which is an improvement from my previous visit. The balls are pretty uniform in size and the exterior of each piece is pretty smooth. Taro Lover ($6.50) - We weren't originally going to get this che, but they were completely out of a number of different items. Even though they had the taro and base for this item, they didn't have any pandan jelly, so we had to substitute egg pudding. This dessert is basically a base of coconut milk mixed with tender chunks of slightly sweetened taro and the aforementioned egg pudding. The pudding is soft and delicious. There's a layer of shaved ice on the top that has a bit of coconut fragrance because most likely they pour the coconut milk over the ice. Overall this che was decent and refreshing. Bathrooms: Two all gender individual rooms. Bambu definitely improved on this visit. This location seems to have supply issues, but It's one of the few places you can get che in Metro Detroit. It might be worth going just for that if you can tolerate some hiccups.

This is the only place I have found which makes their Taro flavor from the actual root, rather than powder. Definitely the best Taro Bubble Tea I’ve ever had. Thank you, Layla for always being friendly.

A friend and I went here on a bubble tea date. Very cute little lobby with plenty of seating. Medium sized menu with tons of options. The lady behind the desk was very helpful and truthful about different flavors! I ended up getting a chai tea and a Thai tea to try and the Thai tea is amazing! Much more flavorful than the chai tea. Chai tea was okay, more milky than anything. Tried some macaroons and they were decently sweet and delicious. Next time I will definitely try the ice cream mochi! Parking for this place is in the back of the building.

I've been to a couple Bambu places now, and this one is by far the best. The waffles are wonderful, drinks are fantastic, and the service is exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. I'll be back here many timesDietary restrictions: Pandan waffles are gluten free

Discovered this place on DoorDash after craving a mangonada. Ordered the drink and they were ready in about 4 minutes on a Sunday evening—so service is quick!!My drink had the perfect amount of tajin and chamoy (I had requested more) but I had ordered the drink with boba so the spiced straw didn’t quite work. Next time, I’ll make sure to request an actual boba straw. If you love tamarind, spices and mango, definitely try their mangonada! My husband and son loved their mango smoothie. Both drinks had perfectly prepared boba. We’re fairly new to Dearborn and will be coming back to try out some of the other drinks and their macarons!!

this place nevr makes ur drinks right. u always have 2 make it taste good at home. add two cups nido milk ? and one packet cappuccino mix and one tea bag of ballerina tea. this helps with digestion. if u dont add these ingredients, it tastes like the water dr alia mroue the dentist rinses ur teeth with after a cleaning. the candy in the drinks looks and tastes like olives and peppers. i would rather eat leftover soggy sink veggies. there is an oil change place across the street, im sure they would fill up a cup of oil, which would taste so much better. do urself a favor and save ur money. see my photo for more details. ?

I'm a big fan of Bambu as a brand. My first encounter with their delightful offerings was in Boston, and I instantly fell in love with their unique creations. Whenever I'm on the road, I make it a point to seek out Bambu, even if it means going out of my way. Unfortunately, the Bambu location at this particular store didn't quite live up to my previous experiences.I understand that the quality of the food can vary slightly depending on who's preparing it, and the staff at this store was notably friendly. However, my order left me somewhat dissatisfied. I had chosen the Bambu favorite, but when the drink was handed to me, I immediately noticed a significant difference. Typically, this drink has a slight brown tint from the pandan leaves it's brewed with, but this one was unusually white. Upon taking a sip, I was greeted with a flavor that resembled pure coconut milk, which wasn't what I had in mind. Even the Pandan jelly, usually soft and chewy, was disappointingly hard this time. This marked one of the rare occasions when I couldn't finish my Bambu.I also decided to try their Macaron ice cream. Unfortunately, it had ice crystals, and the mochi-like consistency was off - it crumbled instead of being chewy, almost as if it had been thawed and refrozen. The one silver lining in this visit was the regular macarons. They were exceptional. My partner ordered the strawberry cheesecake macaron, and I opted for the strawberry shortcake macaron - both were truly delightful. In conclusion, my affection for Bambu remains strong, and I understand that variations can happen, but my recent experience at this specific location left much to be desired.

I was thrilled to discover a Bambu in Detroit, prompting me to take a detour for my favorite dessert. The interior was inviting with ample seating and a wide selection, but unfortunately, my usual Bambu choice left me disappointed. The flavors didn't meet my expectations, and I've enjoyed Bambu in various states like Boston, NY, Texas, and Philly. The coconut milk they used didn't taste right, and some of the pandan jellies were a bit too firm. The usual Bambu consistency seemed lacking, which was surprising. I'm not sure if the kitchen had an off day, but it was a letdown. The mochi ice cream also didn't live up to my expectations; the mochi wasn't chewy, and the ice cream lacked flavor. On a positive note, the macarons were a highlight with perfect consistency and flavors. The strawberry cheesecake macarons were fantastic, and the strawberry shortcake macaron was delicious, enhanced by the strawberry jelly. The service was great and she was super helpful! Overall, my order didn't impress me, but if you're in the mood for macarons, I'd recommend a visit.
