This bakery is okay. This bakery has good staff and good food but sometimes it can taste weird. The inside is always clean and the person making the food is fast. I always call in and it's ready. I recommend

Found out about this spot on Reddit while looking for a good shawarma in the area! The staff is cool and the cooks come out and actually talk to you. We Ordered the MAKANEK MANOUWICH and the FALAFEL!
There aren’t enough words out there to describe how amazing this place is!!Dietary restrictions: Dough is whole wheat for those who are diabetic and still want to enjoy bread as well as those just choosing to cut down on carbs.
I've been to Kings Bakery a couple of times and have always thought the sandwiches here are just okay. They are certainly unique - instead of pita, they use a very nice cheese maneesh that envelopes the rest of the ingredients. Unfortunately, I've found that the assembly and interior could use some work. I decided to visit again recently to see if anything changed. Chicken Manouwich Long ($14) - The pricing on this sandwich seems really expensive, but after you see how big it is, it makes sense. It's quite large, probably twice the length of a normal shawarma sandwich. It's cut into three roughly equal sections, with a total weight of 19.8 oz. I only ate half of it and was super full. Once again, the best part of the sandwich is the cheese maneesh which is freshly baked with some thin crispy cracker like bits and some chewier area. There's a generous amount of gooey cheese all over. This is filled with chicken, pickles, and toum, and then rolled up like a shawarma sandwich. The chicken overall is dry and quite tough. The pickles are kind of sweet rather than vinegary and they add a nice crunch. The garlic is pretty strong and has a bit of an unpleasant sweaty stink to it. The ingredients in general are not applied very evenly; there are lots of bites with no garlic or pickles. Unfortunately, the sandwich is very dry in the sections where there is only chicken and maneesh. A little disappointing to be honest. I've been here twice before and had the same issue, so at least they seem to be pretty consistent. I wonder if their other menu items are better. Note: Kings Bakery charges an extra 4% for credit cards. Kings Bakery is really known for their manouwich. It's a nice idea and I wonder why competing bakeries haven't made imitation sandwiches. I personally won't be going to Kings Bakery again but I do think the manouwich is worth a try just due to how unique it is.

Im currently addicted to the meat manuwich and the assortment of baked good here. The cheese makes the bread perfect with a perfect cook to the bread giving it a brick oven pizza flavor. If this is allowed to be considered a shawarma. I will call this one of the best I've had in and out of Michigan and the staff are cool people!

The manowhich is pretty much the best thing in my opinion. My wife wasn't a fan of this place but everyone is different. Let me know what you think!!
Been having the food for years but just came here to say the service I got today was 5 star , especially from the person who wears glasses and I think long hair(idk his name). He was there around 12pm today (1/13/24). He helped answer my questions on the frozen products. He is an awesome human and good energy.
