I love this place, it's one of my favorites in Midtown and I hate leaving less than 5 stars, BUT they need to get their timing/prioritization set. Placing lunch orders online and then end up waiting forever while they serve every person who walked in off the street, before they make the to -go order. If my order was placed 15 mins before Joe-Schmo walked in, why are you prioritizing him? Is my money not the same? Also placed a lunch order on Saturday and waited 30 mins while they served only 3 people before me. Very frustrating

I 100% agree with Jose. the food is great here, but i’ve had my orders messed up at least 3 times from this location. one time I paid for my meal in store and the employee just walked away from me without handing me my food. had to yell for assistance. was weird...

Okay so I’d hate to write a bad review on one of my and wife’s favorite places to get food in Detroit but I felt it was needed. The biggest reason for the bad review is because we wouldn’t want to see an establishment with such good food (5/5 for taste) go downhill based on new changes. We’ve been customers for about 2 years now and would drive to the Royal Oak or Rochester hills locations while the midtown location was closed. We normally order an honest bowl of the Chefs Special Tandoori chicken but have noticed every time we go, there’s a different employee serving it differently. The portions are never the same. They have sometimes served different salads and have actually forgotten to add dressing twice now. Today they switched the sides and said that it’s the way it’s always been. They served the special with pickles instead of “pickled mixed vegetables” which I understand the confusion but they refuse to acknowledge it. They were going to add the veggies for an additional fee but the “new” manager said she would “let it slide this time” but “we just follow the specials as they are.” I let her know we’ve gotten the exact same thing at multiple locations for years and this is the first time it’s changed to which she replied that they all may have made a mistake. The midtown Detroit location was the best location about a year ago with great portions, employees were not shaking their hand and basically counting how much they put into the bowl. They had run out of bread today so I received 1 bag of pita chips instead of the 2 pieces of bread for 2 honest bowls. The salad was almost gone so we got the last bits and I chose to get grains instead of yellow rice as it was also gone. It was only midday so it wasn’t like it was the end of the day. I really hope they can train the staff (including manager) properly as we would love to continue to come to the location.

Location is really hit or miss. Food quality and taste is a pretty steady 8-9/10. Depending on who makes your bowl, it'll either be jammed full, or half full. Last time in here the person ringing me up added more items to fill it up more over half.

Ive always liked this place and im really glad they've recently re-opened since the pandemic. Ive gone there two days in a row with the 1st day everything was wonderful thw second day however was less than perfect. Maybe they're getting their bearings since the reopen. The staff is friendly and courteous and the service is great.

Food was delicious, selection of combos and the the portion sizes always amazes me. Food from here is totally worth it and don't miss it if you're around.They check you out really quick and the the crew here has always been great.By tasting most of their sauces during my different visits, I felt them to be piquant.
