Picked up a 5-pc whiting from Eastern Market store. The fish tasted horrible. Spoiled, rotten. I don't know. The skin and fish had a horrible taste. If I weren't so tired and exhausted I would take it back.

I can understand the consumption of pointy, but shame on the way you transport those poor chickens. How devastating to see them clumped up unable to move confined and squeezed together in the back of your truck exposed to the freezing cold. Shame on the owner for allowing such cruelty. How is this halal. Do better!

Ok, so I was delivering a load of beef to Wolverine Packing around the corner and walked over. It was 9:30am and they were busy cleaning and stocking products... yes; it is an older building and not in the best shape, but older businesses who have been around a while tend to be in the same place for an extended time and buildings deteriorate. It is what it is...After looking everything over I ordered the Ocean Pearch dinner w/fries and slaw (it came with 4 pc) and requested the fries extra crispy. Also got 1 lb of snow crab legs out of the fresh case for the freezer in the truck for later at $9.99lb. Let's start with the fries... Awesome! they are not plain, they are seasoned/coated and were amazing after the two block walk back to my truck. If you have to walk back somewhere ask for them to be cooked longer than normal. The fish... Ocean Pearch... when I asked, he said the dinner (yes, I know it was 9:30am but my day started at midnight) came with 4 filets, fries, slaw and bread. There were actually 5 fillets in the box and were so hot after I got back to the truck it burned my mouth. Kind of a cornmeal batter, not a beer/tempura batter, but all in all, great taste and texture. The slaw... generic... maybe a bit of horseradish in the background? But overall generic. Just ok... Snow crab legs... TBD... Overall? Great service! They checked on me at least four times while I was looking over the menu and looking through the fresh cases. I can't wait to get back here next month! What a great find!

STINKING CHICKEN WINGS EVEN AFTER SOAKING THEM IN COLD WATER!!! DONT BUY special of 50 wings for $19.99. Bad smelling chicken wings! Do nit buy the 50 wings for 19.99 because the wings are BAD. When I called and told them about it, they refused to give refund or store credit.

This my first time here, I met up with my brother and sister in law! I found out that my dad would frequently come here and get smelt after work! I remember eating the smelt it was delicious! Today was a good day for memories!

Worst experience my life! Not only are they rude and dismissive but they are thieves and liars! Sometime I go in and get charged $1.50 for a frying fee if I use an ebt card and other times they'll charge you $3 per pound plus whatever your food cost. The prices for the separate fees aren't posted anywhere so that you can refute the constant price change. They're doing something fishy and I'm contacting the BBB!

This is a fish store that also has a fryer. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try the local fish. We would have preferred it not to have been fried but we didn't see this option anywhere. We asked for a tasting of three different fish (in part because they said "you get three fish"- we asked for ocean perch, catfish, and white bass. Instead of a platter with three fish, he made us three seperate fish sandwiches (basically fried filet in a styrofoam container with a side of warm wheat bread in a sandwich bag on the side). It was delicious. We couldn't tell which was which but that's ok. They also provided a packet of tarter sauce. Hit the spot!!
