The older guy is not friendly, but the younger one is cool. They need to put a sign up that there is an extra charge if you use a card. The chicken tacos are tasty and fresh, and the meat is juicy. The birria is lacking. It tastes like it is boiled.instead of stewed and it lacks flavor, not well seasoned at all.The other taco truck, one block over, and next to the BP gas station, has better birria tacos, in my opinion, and better customer service. They also don't charge an additional fee for cards.

It is authentic Mexican food, I had the shredded beef tacos and they were great, will definitely come back next time I am in this

The truck was nice, and the service was excellent, but the food was ok. Everything was freshly maid it just lacked proper cooking. The chorizo was overcooked a little burnt and dry. The barria was dry and overcooked as well and lacked any flavor or seasoning. The chicken tacos were good.

I wasn't impressed. They are made fresh, waiting wasn't too long after I placed my order. Salas were ok, good portions but food was just mid/mediocre I live near McGraw Ave, Michigan, 6 mins to Mexican town so plenty of options around this is so far my least favorite truck. Consomme was just pot grease. Not reduced or refined. 4.5/10

Stumbled on this spot while looking for another restaurant that was closed. And I’m glad it was closed because Ame Tacos was great. Delicious and a affordable! Nice little seating area as well.

Great taco truck, and it's only a couple blocks off the Livernois 94 exit. Immediate neighborhood isn't sketchy at all, suburbanite sensibilities won't be offended. Value, convenience, consistent quality, family small business. Exit the interstate and get some, do yourself a favor.

Me and my family absolutely love AME TACOS! Their food is absolutely amazing and the service is always great. We always go there for all our cravings and every single time the food has been amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for great Mexican food!
