I love that they're here! Downtown needs a walk-in, sit down, affordable place, and Athens fits the bill. You can have lunch in an hour, the food is homemade and delicious, and service is good. A perfect diner style experience. The homemade bread is a MUST - you can see them making it as you dine, and it comes with all of their yummy salads - the chicken Greek is my favorite. The dressing is also homemade and just so yummy. Something about it is just so much better than other places. It's creamy and tangy. I also really like their lemon rice soup. You really can't go wrong - pita sandwiches, saganaki, salads, all good, and you'll spend between $8 and $20. A lunch staple downtown for sure.

I used to love Athens so much! Their Greek salads are great!! I used to be a consistent customer. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time they have put chicken on my salad! I’m a vegetarian and it’s really disappointing they didn’t take an extra second to read my order that clearly stated just a regular Greek salad. I do not have the time with my job to keep coming in there correcting my order. Other than that, great food. Just really disappointed I cannot eat it lol

The Greek salad and the grilled pita here is so addicting. It’s one of the few good options downtown for a quick lunch. Whenever I put an order in they always have it ready so so fast!

Nice Greek diner! Service was great, food came out super quick, I love the open kitchen concept I could see the cook making my food until it put it on the counter for pick up! I ordered the chicken souvlaki, It was great and my husband ordered the new cheesesteak sandwich, he wanted a bigger serving, but it was good nonetheless.

Hands down, the BEST chopped salad I've ever had. The greek dressing is the best. I eat three of these a week on average. Get it with Chicken, bacon and whatever other toppings you like. I go for chick peas, bacon, green/red pepper, onions, banana pepper and feta cheese. You won't be dissappointed!

David and the restaurant staff took great care of our group of 16 for a retirement luncheon on July 11, 2023. I called the day of the event and even with my last minute notification that we were coming, David and his staff accommodated us wonderfully. They reserved seating for the entire group, we were all able to sit together, and everything worked out great. This is the second retirement lunch we have had here in the last few months and everything worked fabulously both times. Thank you to all involved to make this day extra special and memorable for our coworker.
Called to place an order was asked to hold and was left on hold for over 5 minutes nobody ever came back on the line. Disappointing considering i work downtown and enjoyed it before. However simply just seems like i was not a priority for them or important enough to place an order.
