Generous portions, but overcooked, salty, chicken shawarma, sorry guys this was my first and last experience. Won't be back. I also ordered a beef one which I took one bite of and tossed in the trash. You want delicious Shawarma? Go to La Saj or Sahara.

They charged me for fries that I didn't ask for. Cashier gets an attitude when I show her the error. Multiple people got food before me. Still forgot my order. Knocked on the window to tell someone and was ignored. Had to go inside and correct them again. Never received an apology for the inconvenience. Not even from the manager that gave me the refund because the cashier was unable to.

It's okay. I found Bucharest grill at Royal oaks better. Parking available and closer to detroit downtown.

They don’t take care with order accuracy. They’re so busy they let customer service go to the wayside. We ordered 2 appetizers that include and require pita bread to eat. They forgot to include, when I called they said that we can come back and get it or get extra bread next time....well pointless to get extra bread next time, so we made the entire trip back to get bread....and they only would give us one bread.... Been a patron for years, not anymore.

I've been a customer of Bucharest for years. I have taken many people to all of their locations and always thought they had one of the best (if not THE BEST) shwarmas in town. The service has never been great, but good enough considering how busy they are. This was always offset by the excellent food. Great taste and large portions for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, something has changed. Their service has deteriorated and that is well documented on the reviews. What is worse is that the quality of their food has gone to crap. Their flagship is their chicken shwarma. The last 3 times I have been there it has gotten worse in taste. Last night was the last straw. It was so bad I threw mine away after eating half of it. My son didn't finish his either. The chicken was tough, dry and tasteless, the lettuce was limp and worst of all the garlic sauce (yes the same garlic sauce that became a legend!) was awful. It was sharp and bitter with only the " bad" garlic taste. Unfortunately, Bucharest has now lost me. I will not go back. Sad.
The food is Awesome - Establishment is very clean - Workers seemed polite. Orders given in an appropriate time.

A spot right on Michigan Ave, where the whole street looks like a brand new neighborhood. For a quick order and for the price, this is the place for a good chicken shawarma with garlic! It's more than a handful and so very tasty! I forgot to take a picture, so I will have to go back and get another order! The sandwich was so large that I only ate half and gave the other to my husband! The chicken was tender and you could taste all the spices and great sauces that was on the sandwich! And you can't forget to add the garlic sauce! Mmmm just too good! You will enjoy this place!

Did online order. Got one messed up. Didn't have the meat I ordered. Replaced the meat.. Got home and no sides with the dinner. I'm very unsatisfied with the way my service was. Gave me a refund.. Not saying I'm not patronizing again cause I love this place.

Have to give a special thank you to the very nice manager and the team at the Michigan Ave location!! We had a large order today and their was a slight mix up, the Manager and staff were so attentive and kind, we couldn't have asked for better customer service. The manager and staff are great!!
