We had not been to the Caucus Club in 40 years. We will not wait that long to return. An exceptional dinner. The room is elegant and very comfortable. The tables are nicely spaced so you are never too close to your fellow diners. Antonio was our waiter and the service was excellent - half empty glasses immediately refilled and dirty dishes quickly removed. Antonio prepared a table side Caesar salad that was both light and delicious. I had scallops and my wife had chicken Scallopini. The scallops were perfectly cooked and my wife said it was the best chicken she remembers eating. For desert my wife had a chocolate torte that was otherworldly. Just a fantastic dinner. Unbeknownst to us, a jazz trio plays on Saturday evenings - a piano, stand up bass and drum. They were excellent and the music truly elevated the experience. We stayed an extra 20 minutes just listening to the trio. All the way home we talked about how wonderful our evening had been. Great food, fantastic service, elegant room, soulful jazz and a warm, comfortable ambience = exceptional evening. My new favorite restaurant.

My experience was completely different from when I came here 3 years ago to the exact date. There was no valet service available, nor did anyone come outside to inform of this while you sit and wait outside in front. I was not given the meat tour, the menu wasn't explained or elaborated on with passion and confidence. The restaurant was very cold, the overall experience and quality of the food was not excellent like before it was subpar and not a fair exchange for the price of the menu offerings. My steak was prepared basically well done after having to send it back twice. I regret not trying a brand new experience vs. Trying to relive what was once great before. I also noted on the reservation that I was celebrating a birthday, when I arrived I was still asked what I was celebrating, nothing was done to commemorate the special evening it was handled very lackadaisical.

I absolutely love the Caucus Club! The atmosphere is amazing. The food is delicious, The service is outstanding. I absolutely love the cocktails!! The old fashioned is theeee best. I had the steak bites, The macaroni is made with Black Diamond Cheese. The Brussel Sprouts with Smoked Bacon was yummy too.

Wow! What an awesome experience! Brought my sister and friends here for her birthday. Everything about this place is classy. From the valet parking to the decor to the food. We arrived on a Saturday after 7 so we were able to enjoy the live band during our meal. Our waiter, Allan, was super nice and friendly. He made a point to ask about any allergies at the table, which impressed me as many of us at the table have them. Most places don't ask and we have to tell them. Allan was attentive to our needs and we never lacked for anything. Plus he had a great sense of humor. Exceptional Customer Service!!! Worth every penny!!! I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Caucus Club for a memorable experience!!!Parking: On the Saturday and Sunday the valet parking is $15, which is I think is a pretty good price for downtown Detroit. There is a parking garage across the street from the resturant as well.

Me and my husband went here for our anniversary. It was truly amazing. They even had a Happy Anniversary. The steak melted in my mouth. My husband got the perch and said it was delicious. The live music was so pleasant and really set the mood. Our drink were perfect. Definitely a 5 star restaurant. Thank you for making our night special.

My most favorite food in the entire world is the filet mignon. I have honestly never tasted one that wasn't amazing, UNTIL having one at Caucus Club. The steak was not good at all. I feel when you spend as much as we did on a meal, that it should be worth every penny. It was chewy and hard to even cut. I sent it back, hoping a little more time on the grill would help (unfortunately not). My husband (who is in sales and takes customers out regularly) said he would never bring a client after our experience with the food. The ambiance was also nothing to write home about. We were out for a romantic weekend away. The tables are set so close together that you are basically sitting at the same table as the couple next to you. The entire restaurant was empty and they still sat everyone together. I wanted to have a conversation with my husband, not the couple next to us. The only good thing I can say is about the staff. They were absolutely amazing! My water glass was never less than half full and they checked in regularly without being obnoxious. Unfortunately, the staff is not enough to get my husband or I to ever return again. When we choose to go out for a nice steak dinner in Detroit, Caucus Club will not be it.

Food and service were both extremely excellent! And would have given 5 stars if not for the call I got previously to my evening. The employee warned me about the dress code and we did wear a suit & tie my wife wore a dress. And to my amazement and complete disappointment more than one couple came in wearing jeans shirt hanging out. If you're going to have a dress code then enforce it or don't have one! The owner liked the review but didn't address the issue. $$$ means more than customer satisfaction. Dress however you want to go here....

The food was superb, and we couldn't be happier with the ambience. here's my only issue a day before we were to come to dinner, we got a call from someone in Management saying that to remember that there is a dress code that we should be dressed appropriately so we came with a suit, tie and dress, and to our dismay and disappointment about three other couples, came in with jeans and shirts untucked if you're going to have a dress code then either enforce it, or don't be calling me to tell me about your dress code
