This used to be one of my favorite spots. Every time I came back to Detroit. I was so disappointed to hear they closed.

The food is amazing and so is the staff! I will remember them for the intimacy of the location and the great tasting vegan food!Vegetarian options: They offered vegan & vegetarian options!

Wow! This is one of the best restaurants in Detroit. I recommend coming here even if you aren't vegetarian/vegan. I recommend the CMO King and some cheese fries. It's pricey, but the portions are huge. You could easily get two meals out of one entree.

Love this place! Get there asap before they close and get one of everything lol!! Big Mock is classic and I loved the gyro. Do yourself a favor and get the loaded waffle fries.

A couple friends took us here when we were in town because I had been saying "I wish somewhere made a vegan version of a Hani from National". This place DELIVERED. I ordered the Brush Park wrap and cheese fries and was not disappointed. My friend got the Chick-un parm which was also delicious. Would definitely go back again.

Been craving Detroit Coney Dog…. and guess what!? There’s a Detroit Vegan Coney Island Restaurant!!!!! OMG!!!!! Everything was so delicious. Even my non-vegetarian family thought it was great. Will for sure keep coming back and try everything else on the menu ?

The food was DELICIOUS! It’s still hard to believe it’s all vegan. Tasted just like the Big Mac and Whopper!

Holy hell was my lunch fantastic. A sit down lunch at a real restaurant with fellow teachers is a rarity but the food here made it the best lunch I've had in a long time. I've been vegetarian for close to 20 years but just couldn't make the leap to being vegan. I'm Dutch and love cheese, it's in my blood. BUT I swear this was the best vegan food I've ever had. The Chik'un Parm was the bomb and chili fries with the ketchup and mustard I added were scrumptious. My mouth just started watering writing about it! I can't wait to go back. The service was very good, the food came out quickly, and everyone left stuffed. It's slightly expensive ($60 before tip for 3), but worth it.

Mmmm mmmm good! This is heaven for someone vegan wanting the Coney Island feel. I thought I'd never enjoy chili cheese fries again after becoming vegetarian but CMO made my dream come true. I ordered pickup. The place is small so you want to call ahead if you're trying to dine in. Limited parking. Hours are typically 11am-6pm so not too much time but it's worth scheduling your day so you can make it there. My food was delicious and it always makes it better when the staff is extremely sweet. It's a definite pit stop every time I go to Detroit. Chili cheese fries are a favorite.

Finally tried CMO!!All Vegan offerings-prices inline w most other places- absolutely worth it. Most meals come w fries. Good waffle fries. Good chili dog!The marinara on the ck'parm sandwich was delicious- coulda used alil more chicken /alil messy but filling when you clean your plate w the fries! Most menu items have themed names- organic condiments! at the table Thank you!! Wish they were open later. We dined in hour b4 they closed. imagine they are busyy during lunch hours! Great service! Worth a try even for carnivores

Start with the loaded nachos and end with a happy belly. Everything was tasty and came out in a timely manner. The server, Vincent, was friendly and knowledgable. We had so many questions, he was able to answer them all. We tried the chkn parmigiana sandwich, the pita, and the Coney and everything was so good! Also loved the huge selection of drinks offer. Must revisit soon!

This place was amazing. We got the chili dog and the gyro and both were so good. We had questions about food allergies and the staff were very good about knowing the ingredients and where we might have any cross contamination concerns etc. they even made sure to wipe down everything before putting our food together.

I came up visit this spot based on reviews about the service, and because I heard it's a vegan spot that is actually pretty good.Location wise it's kind of in a random place. It's kind of like its own element in the sea of residential, and right across from DMC hospital which was a little bit off. And the entrance is also unassuming. But as soon as you step inside, you feel the welcoming aura.I thought the food was prepared well. It was quick. The service was excellent too. Now the prices were a little bit on the high end so that's one caveat. And the decor/furniture could use a little bit of work since it's a bit dated at this point. However, overall it was a good experience and I'd recommend a visit.I got the Coney Dog - which is kind of like a chili dog with I think fake meat. I also got the loaded fries which I thought were actually quite good. I'd like to try the big mock Burger, but at $16 it was a little bit too much to splurge on for a taste.

Vegan but you miss Coney's? THIS IS YOUR SPOT! I was sooo grateful for the Coney Island that CMO prepared- it completely delivered. Whenever I visit Detroit, I'm most definitely visiting Chili Mustard Onions! Grateful. (Didn't really care for the Tzatziki though! It had that vegan flavor that I personally don't like!).
