Brunch at Cibo with an elder member of the family. We requested a slightly quieter spot so we could all hear each other, and the staff were all very kind. They went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The food was excellent, impeccable service, and a lovely light filled space to enjoy it all. We will be back.

This place was absolutely amazing. I went for a birthday celebration and had the lunch menu. The Mediterranean salad was absolutely fire. Drinks were delicious. And the bill was reasonable. I definitely will be back soon. I will give this place a 10 out of 10.

Ordered the half chicken, was very juicy, tender & fell right off the bone. I enjoyed it, I wish more rice was served with this entree, definitely more chicken than the sides. Our server was very nice but the drinks did take a while to come out (not her fault). We received our appetizers before our drinks, it happens. The fries were tasty & the whipped feta was solid! The drink I ordered tasted very strong like pure tequila.. not sure if it was supposed to be this strong.Parking for this restaurant was not bad, parked behind the building. Nice atmosphere, lovely decor. My friend received a complimentary dessert her birthday which was very nice. Would come again besides minor inconveniences.

Sarah the bartender used my card to pay for another tab that didn’t belong to me due to negligence and demanded we give another check to charge our payment. The restaurant was no where near busy on a night like tonight. The bar lead was able to assist us with ease. Most definitely won’t be coming back as this seems more of a one-Time experience for the ambiance.

Although the establishment , aesthetics, the music and food were amazing , our service was not. Our server was more than overwhelmed with my party of 8. She’d not return to our table for long periods of time. Appetizers and drinks we ordered didn’t come out , we were still charged for some items that we didn’t receive. The service was very ,very slow. We arrived at 3:45 and I believe we didn’t get our appetizers until 5:30. The waiter was snippy with one of my guests, making her quite upset. When the time came to pay the bill, she took each card individually to check us out one by one, which was time consuming.I hope this was just a one off, because I do plan to visit the restaurant again, however, I would definitely decline her as my server . Everything else was amazing, especially Aura! She’s so kind and welcoming. She made me feel absolutely beautiful , as she offered to take pictures for us . Her warmth and charisma was amazing. I’ll never forget the way she made me feel on my birthday.

Ordered from late night room service menu. Fried chicken sandwich and aged beef burger. Fried chicken sandwich was "interesting" to say the least. It had a scallion batter which is a VERY overwhelming flavor. After taking off the majority of the crust, I was able to eat half but the onion flavor was faintly still present. Bleech...The house made chips weren't much better. My friend enjoyed his burger though.

I love Cibo! From the ambiance, to the menu and the chefs kiss food and customer service. Everyone is absolutely wonderful. I have been twice, but the most memorable experience was my birthday lunch/brunch! It's really convenient that they have a brunch and lunch menu until 2pm on the weekends--there is much to choose from! Also, they gave me a free birthday drink (espresso martini) and a free birthday dessert. They also have a dj who plays such a beautiful neo soul vibes on Saturday afternoons. Thank yall for delicious food, drinks, and great time. I love this place!

I had high hopes for Cibo, but it sadly disappointed. Don't get me wrong the space is gorgeous! They did an amazing job with this interior. The other bright spot for them was the service. From the moment we walked in the hostess was friendly and engaging. Our waitress was afriendly and well versed on their offerings and provided recommendations. The menu promises modern Mediterranean, however the food doesn't really pack much of the flavor you'd expect. I visited with friends and we each had the same conclusion: the food was good, but was missing a little something. We ordered from both the breakfast and lunch menus, so maybe dinner has more flavorful options. We did not try drinks (no bartender at the time of our visit).

New date night spot incoming! Cibo is located in the Cambria hotel in downtown Detroit. The restaurant itself has a clean, chic look with lots of lush greenery and my favorite, floor to ceiling doors in the bathroom stalls! There's also a sectioned off part of the dining room to the side that you can reserve for groups. But let's get on to the best part- the food. The whipped feta with pear is to die for- not a speck was left in the skillet by the time we finished. We opted to split the halal chicken and a side of the potatoes and were sufficiently full after. Our waiter, Paris, was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The host and manager were great as well. Can't wait to return and try more from their selection!

Ok first off the ascetic of this place is amazing. A very clean and modern space all over perfected by calm lighting and comfy seating. The pomegranate ribs were delicious, however i was hoping there was an incorporation of pomegranate into the sauce other than just a few on top. The brava belly was okay, it wasn't seasoned much and I felt it needed a sauce (had to dip it in the rib sauce). Im not sure were the issue was but my order had an issue so i was brought the Halal half chicken: this dish was a 5/10 the chicken was juicy, tender and welly cooked but it wasn't seasoned much and its served pretty plane on a pita bread. If this had the components of a deconstructed shawarma or souvlaki it would have been perfect. The herbs on the side were not good at all. Just bland and tasted like they were just for decoration. When the dishes Entrees came (very late) the scallops and risotto were amazing. Juicy and cooked perfectly. It was a bit too salty but still a great dish. The lamb was amazing aswell they brought me a perfect medium that was juicy and seasoned to perfection. The Drinks are the real loss here. For such a fine bar the drinks were not good at all."Somewhere over the ionian sea" was a good drink until they changed bartenders and the next one was undrinkable. Also a few drinks tasted like they used Ouzo which is an anise flavored liqueur that i am absolutely not a fan of. Very bitter and and overpowering In total: Aesthetic: 9/10 (the seats alongside the windows are low and the tables are a bit high) Food: 7.8/10 Service: 9/10

Upon our first time arriving at Cibo for food and drinks, we were greeted by a classy, dynamic woman named Aura. She was dressed impeccably - also wearing a top hat and that simply set the tone for a great evening! We told Aura it was our first time there and also that we were interested in exploring the place as a potential location for our daughter's upcoming wedding events: room block for guests, rehearsal dinner/brunch, afterglow, etc. She immediately took us by the arm for a full tour of the entire space from the rooftop to the basement game area. As we toured the various spaces, she successfully built a vision in our minds of ways to create a memorable experience at Cibo/Cambria. In the process, we learned a ton about the building; its history and future plans. This was inspiring! The entire building from top to bottom is absolutely beautifulwith an incredible vibe unlike like anything else that l've seen in Detroit. It's rather unique because it has an elevated feel but it's also very welcoming and friendly - a great place to relax with friends at happy hour or getting dressed to the nines and enjoying a special occasion. The decor is beautiful. The music is great, and it feels like part of Detroit. When you walk into Cibo, the return to historic art deco style mixed with a Mediterranean flair brings you back to burgeoning Detroit of the past, but the music was vibing and there was a vibrant clientele. This is a relaxed but not sleepy place, elevated yet affordable (happy hour menu is delicious ). Aura spent a lot of time with us making sure that we gained thorough information about the Cambria, but she was also extremely helpful beyond. Once we were seated, she introduced us to our server, but continue to check in on us and ask us how our experience was going, and she just really took us under her wing and made us feel welcome cared for, and that our experience was her priority. It was a uniquely rare exceptional service experience that completely sold us on choosing Cambria for our wedding needs. We will be having guests coming in from Italy and many people from out of town and we can't wait to show this place off! Whoever hired Aura has found a treasure! We have returned 3 times in the past month and every time we are there, Aura, again and again delights us!!

If all you care about with dining is the ambiance this is your place. Otherwise you will experience a poor dining experience. When I arrived, no one greeted or acknowledged me, several hostesses walked through me without saying excuse me and then after helping people who came in after me, finally a hostess simply said "Hi". Our wait for our reserved table was short thank God. But we would go on to make up for that with prolonged waits for drinks, dinner and ultimately a comp'd dessert for our wait. Our server was kind, but not attentive and we at best the food was just ok. Not worth the hype or the wait. Skip this place and just go to Leila it's SOOOOO much better, authentic food and the people are genuine and kind.

I went to Cibo for New years Eve with a friend and had a great time! We had the Avocado Tahin to share, which was so tasty. I had the lion's mane moussaka as my main and I love it! It was sweet and savory and had a slight taste of fall. Will definitely be back! Service was great too!
