I came here with a group of friends, and the host of our party reached out weeks in advance for a reservation, and followed up a day or two before our reservation to ensure that the restaurant would be open and that there would be live entertainment. We were informed that both would be available around 7-7:30. As we arrived between this time, our waitress informed us that the kitchen was closing and that there was no more live entertainment for the night due to it being opening day in Detroit. This was information was not relayed to our party’s host when she checked in the day before.When it came time to pay the bill, we were given a single bill and they would not split it for us in any way and we had to calculate our own portions of the bill one person at a time. Somehow, our bill resulted in an outstanding balance of $50. After leaving, we calculated our totals and determined that we had paid our fair shares, so I’m not sure where this balance came from.The food was good and the interior was nice, but it felt very unorganized and unwilling to accommodate. It also felt as though we were rushed to leave, and some of our party’s food came out 15 mins after everyone else’s, and the servers seemed very dismissive.
Great food, friendly staff and the perfect place to see a show! Very intimate setting and we love the history as well!Service would have been a 5 but we got the one server that seemed to go not want to be there and go MIA often. The bartender and hostess plus all other servers were 5 stars!
