The woman who answered the phone was very unprofessional......will not spend my money at an establishment where they can't answer the phone properly....

I got 2 sandwiches 2/10. The coleslaw was runny and the cornbeef did not taste right. It's far from the original owners Bernice sandwiches. I rather get a coney island

Stopped in on a whim for lunch and was definitely a happy camper. The Corned beef was salty, but not in an overpowering, inedible way. It was tender and the sandwich had a perfect meat-cheese-mustard
They catered an event for us at wayne state law school! Ms. Frieda was delightful and everyone loved the food!! I hope we have the chance to order from them again :)

So, thinking about all of the places I have yelped about, this one is likely the oldest established place. I have had these sandwiches all of my life. I stopped in last night for a "Slurp" (corned beef, Swiss, and Cole slaw on an onion roll with Russian dressing). I also ordered onion rings and Kool-Aid. All yummy. The battered onion rings were crisp. I envisioned the "Kool-Aid Man" as I sipped, just like I did as a child. The sandwiches are consistently good and are the same as I remember from childhood. I'm happy that the area has been refreshed. The deli has a new modern build out, so pay no mind to the "hole in the wall" reviews. It's certainly not that. Check out my pics. There are a variety of deli sandwiches, snacks, chips, desserts, and drinks available. Prices are far more reasonable than other nearby delis. The walk-in carry-out is on a corner. There is plenty of street parking. The cashier shared with me that the location has been deemed "historic." I love that for the deli's original owner and the community.

I’ve heard many compliments about his place so i figure it was going to be really good. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, the food not great. The egg rolls were super crispy on the outside but under done on the inside, there wasn’t any cheese on it even though i asked for it. I ordered a big sandwich and a mini but the sandwiches were the same size. The pickles looked like they’ve been smashed in. Another worker walked in mad and he wanted to argue so we hear people arguing in the back, things being slammed….We just wanted to get up out of there. The service was good though the lady that took my order was very nice

A staple food item in Detroit is a deli style Corn Beef Sandwich hands down. During my last several visits to Detroit, I've been on the hunt to find the best corn beef as many places have degraded in quality as of late. One initial indicator of a good corn beef is the meat to bread ratio. Real Detroit corn beef sandwich's are stacked with meat. Stacked with enough meat that you could pull meat out and make another sandwich. This is where Deli Plaza fell completely flat. There was more bread than meat. The corn beef had no flavor, the Cole slaw and Russian dressing wasn't very prominent either. I tasted more bread than anything else, to the point that I was spitting out bread. On this this journey to locate the best corn beef in Detroit, this was by far the worst one yet.

If you want the authentic corn beef sandwich, this is the spot. We had the slurp (corn beef, slaw, and russian dressing on rye) and a turkey sandwich. Washed it down with some red-grape kool-aid and a crunchy pickle. Desserts were too good ignore. The caramel cake is one of the best I've had.The only draw back is the wait time. The owner needs some good hands on deck and it would probably be a win-win to work for sandwiches!

Very clean!!!Fresh food always. My family loves it here
I've been in Detroit all my life and never had them twice now and hands down they are wonderful the best for me yet...they definitely have my business
The best corn beef restaurant in over 30years. Family business, I love it!
The place was clean and service was fast. I just am not a fan of this "new" fatless cornbeef and pastrami. I like the meats from back in the day.
Corned beef, chicken tenders were delicious. Kool-aid I loved it. Only problem was my soggy pickle. Other than that I will return.
