Great food, especially liked the vegan soul food plate with Mac and cheese, red beans and rice, sweet potatoes, greens. They could improve there response times to phone calls but overall outstanding food and service. Also enjoyed the vegan red velvet cupcake

My review isn't the restaurant's food because it is TRULY GOOD FOOD even though one time they improvised the coating on the catfish the second time I was told they used something different (ok)be consistent PLEASE that's why I came back in the 1st place because it was good it's the crazy hours it's just confusing if your open Tuesday through Saturday why not just keep those hours consistent it bothers me that if hours of operation is unreliable then think of the people who want to give you love but the doors aren't reliable to give it to this black/woman owned business as we know those doors are really hard to get through hate to see a opportunity have a business and this is dimming the shine on those who TRULY need an opportunity need to go back to the drawing board and come back fully prepared. PS closing at 4:00 on a Saturday???

The lady at the counter would rather be right than happy. I place an 2nd order, a drink to go with my food but the way she talked to me was not friendly. I had a $5.00 tip in my hand to put into her tip jar but no. I was willing to place another for the drink but she just came at me so wrong. Forget the tip, the drink or me coming back. The food was real good. I just hope she didn't prepair. Not with that negative energy she just displayed with me. Her consumer services skills today are very poor. I'm a native of Louisiana who happens to live in Kalamazoo, but when I travel this way, I have a search for vegan options, which is hard. Kalamazoo doesn't even have a lot of options to pick and choose from. I happened to find this place a while ago, and I almost lost it. The food was amazing! The vegan barbecue rib was one of my favorites, and I love you love how the greens was greatly seasoned.
Erica is amazing. Her cooking skills is on point. I love the tofu catfish, and the smoked collards. Thank you for serving us vegans in Detroit.

I was finally able to visit this GEM after a few visits to Detroit. I'm elated to have met the owner and very confident that she is dedicated to authentic Vegan food. Everything we ordered was delectable and savory. The atmosphere is inviting and clean. I will definitely be a repeat customer when I'm in the area.
