I ordered three vegan cinnamon rolls and one vegan brownie, the website showed that these items were available and I paid online 23.31. I drove from Redford to the downtown location and was told that they did not sell vegan cinnamon rolls and they dont give refunds. I asked why not because their website has erroneous information listed. The person there contacted someone and told me they would refund the $16.50 but not the taxes and it just made me realize they are not a customer friendly establishment. There was no effort to make things right. The lady that was there said she drove from Redford as well, but I told her she works there I spent money and drove there for no reason and I spent money and they knew they didn't sell the items requested.

I tried to go here but the place was closed on a Friday afternoon. I called ahead of time to make sure they were open. I wish they would have said something about being closed on their pre-recorded phone message.

When I tell you their banana pudding(yes they offer no nana pudding for you other folk) is soooo balanced and delicious. Not too sweet and it hits every check mark in my book! The pound cake is the perfect texture and you are so right I’ll be back!

Um hello, how can you go wrong? Desserts here are always delicious, especially the cakes. Staff is super nice too and helped accommodate us for a large order for an event, even offered to help me take the stuff to my car which was sweet (no pun intended). Will be back

Worst customer service in the history of customer service. When I lived in Michigan, we ordered so many of their cakes, literally thousands of dollars worth. My family still intended to order their cakes, as they still live in Michigan (an hour away, but we loved the cakes that much). Now that I live in Texas, they shipped me the wrong cake (and non-vegan when I ordered vegan), ruining my birthday. They were supposed to send a replacement in time for Valentine’s Day, but ignored my messages after promising a new cake. They wouldn’t refund me so I reached out to the shipping service. The new cake is supposedly coming today, and I got a VERY rude message from Good Cakes acting like I’m the problem when my $100 birthday cake will be 8 days late. They claim they won’t sell me another cake because I asked for a refund (and I was going to tell the shipping service I don’t need a refund anymore after the cake arrives), but my family was going to stop ordering their cakes after this mess anyway! They’re extremely rude, shipped me the wrong cake, ignored my messages, then decided I’m the bad guy when I asked for a refund after not receiving my birthday cake?
The red velvet and seven up cake was delicious. But the chocolate in chocolate cupcake was so moist and delicious. It took me a week to eat all three treats. But they were still fresh and delicious until the last bite.

Cue the music: Heaven! I’m in heaven!I love this place. Every single item was delicious and the crew is so nice. I can feel the love and warmth radiating from every corner of Good Cakes and Bakes. I’m not vegan but the vegan cookie butter cake is amazing. The rum cake is astounding and I’m not being hyperbolic when I say I’ve never had a better pot pie in my life. This is what a beautiful black owned business is supposed to look like. Again, just heaven.
