One of the best steak burritos I’ve had. The best burrito spot in downtown Detroit.

This place is closed as of 3/1/22. I was very hungry looking for a taco and ended up disappointed

Meh. I just don't think they are worth the wait. I used to really jam out on their shrimp tacos but the last few times I have come here, it took forever for my order to come out. I'd rather just drive down to SouthWest for authentic Mexican food.

Me and some friends were riding some scooters Downtown lol Got hungry so we zoomed out to HOT TACO!! (my first time)I got the shrimp Burrito EXTRA sauce & a guava carbonated drink.Burrito came out FAST AND HOT!Within 5 mins it was gone! Not just cause I eat like a Savage but it was Great!!Staff was friendly and the place is nice for a quick bite along the window!

Food is good. Music volume needs to be adjusted. I shouldn’t have to scream my order because the music is too loud. Also, if an item is out for the day such as shrimp the board should reflect that inside of standing in line and finally making it to the front to find out the item is not available.

One of my favorite locations for quality Tacos. The service was very helpful and observant. Prices were fair for the quality of the food.

A hole in the wall. Bathroom as a wet room is a turn off. Food was tasty, though.

Delicious and a great value, not sure what else there is to say. Hands down one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite while I'm in the D.

The food is great, cheap & fresh, However the establishment is dark small in the bathroom is definitely not what do you want to go in unless it’s an emergency, but the employees are super cool!!

Late October 2015 I was offered a "working interview" with hot taco. I ended up working for 8 hours. I had made plans that day thinking it's just a few hours of work cause they said it was an interview, not a "working interview". I was told they just needed to see me work for a bit to know if they wanted to hire me. Two hours in I ask how long this will be because I expected a normal interview and had made plans. They said they wanted to see me do an 8 hour shift. So I excused myself to cancel my plans, cause I don't mind working and making money. I prepped a lot, made a lot of orders, non stop work except for a 15 minute break where I ate an $8 burrito I made myself. After all of this they asked if I could work during youmacon (an anime convention that was coming up). I was honest and said "I can't cause I called off from my other job specifically to go to the convention. I'm working 3 days of the convention and have off during the afternoon and all day one of those days. I already have plans." They said "well you're a new employee so, we'll need you to work those days." I said I can't because I have plans to go to that convention. I plan to go to that and another event every year but otherwise I can work whenever I'm not at my other job. They didn't like that and said they just needed me to fill in for days others didn't want to work. I said "okay, that's fine. When can I get my pay for the 8 hours I worked?" They laughed and said it was a working interview and they paid me with an $8 burrito. I mentioned that for 1. I made that myself and part of why it's $8 is the cost of labor and the convenience and service of having someone else make it for you. 2. Even if it was $8 with no profit (unlikely) minimum wage sure as f*** ain't $1. Cause an $8 burrito doesn't cover an 8 hour shift. 3. If you wanna take the burrito out of my pay, well, f*** you, cause all the other employees get them for free and it's illegal to take it out my pay considering. They still refused to pay me. I call periodically and ask for that f****** money they owe me for the 8 hour shift where I canceled my plans. When I call and ask they mock me and tell me to get a job and call me a broke a** b**** and other demeaning s**** They owe me. I've called the governmental their a** and because I never punched in and they won't release the cameras showing I worked I haven't been f****** paid. Do not shop here. They are scum who treats their workers like s****
