Absolutely lovely restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, great service and friendly staff, and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed the seafood chowder, short rib hash, and chicken sandwich. Really fun brunch cocktails like The Fizz!

We had an awesome time celebrating our son’s college graduation at IVY Kitchen. The food was delicious, with ample portions. The waitresses provided excellent customer service. A special thank you to the manager Tonya. She was very engaging and made us feel right at home. This was our first time dining in Detroit and we are so glad we chose this restaurant!

Offered to sit outside. Nice evening, so we chose that option. Service was not so great. Food took forever even though there was only about 6 to 8 people dining. Food was Luke warm, leading us to believe that the reason for the long wait was that the food had been sitting for awhile. To top it off, they added a 20% tip to the bill ( party of 4 ) , and to add insult to injury they actually TAXED THE TIP ! Don't think we will return, $ 188.00 for dinner, at that price we would expect food to be served promptly, to temperature. Also if you are going to automatically add a tip, service should be better. Lastly 2 in or party asked for a Cesar sald instead of the included side salad, they said it would be a slight uncharged, somehow I wasn't expecting $18.00 as a SLIGHT UPCHARGE. Try if you want, maybe it was an off night, but we won't be back

A beautiful gem in East Detroit, Ivy Kitchen + Cocktails was everything! Our networking group hosted a lunch here, it was my first time visiting Ivy. The decor and ambiance give a vibe of laid back elegance. The staff was incredible, our server and the manager seemed to work together effortlessly to ensure everyone had what they needed throughout the restaurant. The food was excellent (wish I had taken more pictures) and I loved my drink, Royalty. We will be back!!

By far the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. From the attitudes of the servers to the dismissiveness of the manager, to waiting 45 minutes to get water, 1.5 hours to get a drink, to ultimately never placing a food order, there is not a reason any restaurant can justify this lack of service. This horrible experience also required a $200 deposit required on my credit card to hold the reservation, having to wait 45 minutes for our table, ac blowing down onto you with dust into your hair and food and not being able to use the bathroom as one should because no staff ever restocked the toilet paper. Remember to check your bill... the bill had to be corrected 3x, with the solution of each customer having to write down what they ordered. The icing on the cake... a 20% service/tip charge! A guaranteed tip for absolutely zero service and zero desire to serve guests. Thank goodness for great company and laughs because this restaurant failed in every aspect of restaurant customer service, dining and satisfaction.

This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant that a party of 10 friends tried to come have diner and drinks after all day of flag football games looking to relax and enjoy good food and drinks led us to leaving hungrier then we arrived we waited 45 minutes to be seated 1.5 hours to get cups with ice and no water or drinks to the point Ice melted and made its own water, then we waited another 2 hours for our appetizers and never got to order our main course and was still charge a 20% gratuity fee for each bill and was offer no type of compensation for our horrible experience. Waiter had attitude and manager took over our table starting she would make it better and it was same trashy experience and having us wait just as long to even get our checks to get out this nightmare restaurant.

The worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. We did have a party of 10, however, it took 45 minutes to get water, an hour and a half to get our first round of drinks and still two people did not get their drinks. 2.5 hours to get our main course orders. After waiting that long only a few people ordered. Then the ones that did, the first person got their food, half hour later second person got theirs, then the third person waiting another 30 minutes and got it Togo, the rest just opted out. Then the bills came and they were all wrong. So people had to write Down what they ordered so the bill would be correct. She would not comp us anything but two people got a free drink. Then as we finally pay, and all go to get up to leave we get offered free dessert. By this time 4 hours of waiting and getting half the food we wanted, watered down cocktails, and every excuse in the book, we declined the offer and left.

On Saturday me & my spouse stumbled across this restaurant wanted to try but was let down at door. These men were rude they were customers but felt like the were superior than others. Never tried their food because the customer service walking in was unwelcoming
