We have been coming here for a while and the experience keeps getting worse each time, it's pretty much centered around the woman working the bar. This last time we went was the strangest thing we've seen. Keep in mind we are the only ones there. We go up to the bar and my boyfriend orders a beer. She takes his order but then disappears for about 10 minutes. She finally comes back without saying anything, she continues standing there looking dazed but eventually goes to pour the beer. We are watching and she keeps stopping and just staring blankly. She has filled the glass about halfway at this point, and stops again. This goes on for a long time, it was extremely odd. We ask her if there's something wrong with the tap, and she says no but the beer is too cold so she can't pour it? She then proceeds to go into another room and get a can of the beer, and she pours the can into the halfway filled glass to mix the can with the tap beer, which is crazy. The whole time it felt like a Twilight Zone episode. I'm not sure if she was on some substances or what but it shouldn't take 20 minutes for someone to serve a beer when you are the only customers. Or perhaps she was going through a crisis but it would be nice if this was addressed so this doesn't keep happening to us.

The service here is always poor. At the bar or sitting down, the waiters and bartenders do not care about the customer and don't understand quality service. The food is never consistent as well, i've gotten soggy pizzas multiple times along with bad chicken cuts on sandwiches. The prices and service along with the quality of food make it not worth a visit.

Good beer in a cool place with friendly bartenders

To start, There is no wait staff. You have to go to the bar to order. That's not a big deal but I'm not giving a better score for service when it doesn't exist.Second I ordered a med-rare burger it was well done as in super chewy. Which is sad because the rest of the toppings were delicious and the fries and chips are amazing (that is why it got 2 stars) but if you ask for my temp I want for my burger to bee close to it.The atmosphere is great, nice, and relaxing. Not too loud, music is playing in the background but you can talk and hear each other at the table.Side note, the only service I'll applaud is the host appears out of no where the minute someone walks thru the door to explain that there are no waiters.Vegetarian options: They do have some vegan optionsParking: Use the Park Detroit app

I am a fan of Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor, however, my family and I decided to try out the Detroit location. And we were a little caught off guard, the workers were friendly and the food was great, but we didn't know that it would be set up, like a dining hall. We had to go to the bar to order our food, it was self service for the fountain drinks. Not sure how I feel (mixed feelings)about this style concept.

The food is great but I would pass on the beer. If you're looking for good beer, I would recommend the Motor City Brewery especially the Ghetto blaster. But the food is excellent. Good sized portions and delicious!!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options, 2 mains 3 appetizers, 1 sandwich ?

Bartender had great customer service. You have to try their spinach and artichoke dip, I was very impressed by it, it was delicious— the reason I wrote this review!!. Also M-F they have happy hour discounts from 3-6pm . The sour beers that they are famous for are unmatched. La Roja is my go-to.

Loved the brewery/restaurant vibe. The food is so incredible and they have weekly specials. Coffee/soda/hand crafted beer. Pizzas are out of this world.Hugh was our bartender and was very helpful and clear with quick and quality service.
