I heard about this location from a foodie fanatic as one of the best Mexican fares in the city. It's a quaint location with a market, dessert bar restaurant and bar for libations. Great family hang out.

Amazing food and excellent margaritas. The service can be a bit slow when it's busy but it's worth a visit

Great place to sit and enjoy some great food. Goat Stew is great. Highly recommend! Little grocery store attached is nice to pick up a few items.

While in Detroit I found this excellent Mexican restaurant. The service, the decor, the music and the food were all top tier. The chilaquiles with a couple fried eggs and beans with a little cotija cheese were screaming! Very authentic like mom use to make lol. The chicharrones were absolutely fire. Crunchy not greasy and the peanut sauce that comes with it is great for dipping. Love this place. Muchas gracias!

One of my favorite Mexican food spots in Detroit. I love the street tacos and the Botana (Nachos). The service is always fast and friendly and we are usually seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The Decor is also really cute as it has a nice local restaurant feel with the ability to seat large parties. There is also a convenient walk-up ordering area for to-go orders and it is attached to a fun local store. Definitely a must-try.

I typically love this place. I love the store and the churros and the mexi-tiki vibe and the food is typically excellent. The last time I was here felt like a joke was being played on me. Something with the service was so off and I couldn't put my finger on it. Was it because before we ordered that I realized my friend worked here and spoke with him before ordering? Maybe I smoked a little bit of weed beforehand and some assumptions were made? I don't know. What I do know is that when the chips and salsa came out that I was given the world's tiniest plate with a single layer of about 10 chips and a to-go portion of salsa that you might pour over a single taco. I looked around and found myself alone in this scenario. Other tables had normal portions. I was being plenty nice and friendly though looking a tidbit ragged from having dressed to prepare for a day of moving furniture into storage units before stopping in. Was I being judged as a potential vagrant when this combined with my companion and I's want to just drink soda water? I don't know. My fajitas arrived with additional hints of disrespect i.e. enough cheese for a single taco. I left a $50 tip wondering if I just played myself as a psy-ops victim.

It is almost shocking what a wonderful little place this turned out to be. While it's not the first time that I have visited a restaurant, located inside a grocery store. However, the ambience of the restaurant area, the service, and the food were well above par. We ordered an appetizer that was made with chorizo, sausage, and queso cheese that was absolutely fabulous, the chips and salsa were fresh. We ordered a variety of tacos, El Pastore, chicken, and Birria made with goat meat all of which were fabulous. What came as even more of a surprise was a three taco combo with rice and beans was 10 bucks. When it comes to Southwest Detroit I think I have found my go to authentic Mexican dining experience. Bon appétit.

We went and it started off good. We had drinks and the food was good for the most part. My husband asked for his shrimp cocktail to come warm and it was cold. We asked them to warm it up and they forgot about him so he didn’t get his food. We asked for a round of drinks and they brought 2 of 4 of the drinks. When we asked they brought the other 2 but double charged us. When we asked them to remove the extra items we didn’t receive it took over 40 minutes for them to get the order correct. Then one of the incompetent owners had the nerve to say they were charging the server at the end of the night. She wasn’t the one brining the items. It was other incompetence and they charged us for items we didn’t get. Very disappointed because we would have gone there again the food and drinks were good but the ownership is terrible. We will never be back and hopefully the servers get better jobs. Do not help them take away from the servers that are trying to make a living. Would not recommend

We went to the restaurant to have some food and drinks before the concert and they really fell short. They forget half of our drinks and when we ask about them the double charge us and bring us them. When we ordered shrimp cocktail warm they brought it cold. We asked them to warm it up and they once again forgot about us. They were not busy and had employees all around us taking a break. We asked the owner to take off the items that we didn't receive and they said they would take it from the servers pay at the end of the night. We explained how the items didn't come and how the server wasn't even the one to bring the drinks. It took the ignorant owner 3 times to try to fix it and she was very rude. It was only fixed when one of the other owners stepped in but it still took over 40 minutes for them to fix their mistake. Very disappointing to say the least. We looked forward to the newly renovated restaurant but left annoyed and hungry. Would not recommend especially when there are so many other reputable restaurants in town

I'd like to say, I only eat at Mexican restaurants if Tripe and Goat are on the menu. They had that covered. Birria de chivo was outstanding. The waitresses were wonderful I've been 4x in 2 weeks. Authentic Mexican food and amazing Mercado. I highly recommend.

I can't believe Ive never tried this place until recently!! I seen the reviews and thought I should give it a try! My order was ready when they said it was going to be. The attached grocery store was awesome too. The walls are decorated nicely if you were to dine in its really nice in the dining area - food was delicious I could hardly wait to get it home and eat it. Definitely will be back!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food say less! This is a hidden gem. They have a grocery store inside the restaurant and they also serve ice cream. I got 3 tacos and 2 sides for $10 which is unheard of. Taco trucks easily charge $10 for 2 tacos with no sides. My business partner and I needed somewhere quick to grab a bite from before our event started. Food came out in like 7 minutes. Our waitress was extremely friendly and the ambiance mos def has the Mexican vibes. I will definitely be returning!

One of the best Mexican places I've been to in Michigan. This was the 1st time I've had an horchata but it was perfect for fall with all of its nutmeg flavors. Service was fast. The place was cute. There was seating on the lower level and a market on the upper level.
