From the neighborhood born and raised. We come to the bar with a strip of lights on top of the bar. Please don’t kill the bar scene that is needed with all these light. Management let’s get it together and take this strip of lighting off. Everything is with service and drinks 10/10. Banana cream bread shot was amazing. My friends said they enjoy coming here because of the bar feeling. Please do t end the bar vibe that is already dying.

Lauren, our bartender, was so knowledgeable and cool. The only true tiki bar left in Detroit. It's very authentic and a must visit. Bartenders in general are cool and make great drinks. They stick with the classics, but have a few fun shots in case you're feeling wild. We ordered the Tusk of Plenty and the Cobra Fang. Boozy. A tad sweet as some tiki cocktails are. This spot is one of the few bars that still has Green Chartreuse. The Slurricane has a few splashes. Street parking is plentiful. Easy to get to. Decor is great. Total time wrap. Definitely stop by Detroit's last tiki bar.

Was excited to visit since I have literally talked about it forever. Atmosphere was great 5 Stars. Drinks were terrible, I was with a group of 5 and all felt the same. $16 for a drink 4 out of the 5 of us did not even drink after 1st sip. Tasted like old spices! Glad I was able to finally see it, but would never go back and was very disappointed. It was a one and done for me.

Came in right after the bar opened for the evening and the bartender was super cool and chatted with us. Stayed for a couple drinks and everything we tried was amazing. Fun atmosphere too!

Talk about a good time with great service - can’t beat Mutiny Bar. Best staff and drinks in the world. Karaoke Thursday is lit. Bar tender, Alex is the truth. One of the best places in Detroit for great drinks and a good time.

For me, you know you've walked into a great bar when you can see yourself enjoying it in different scenarios. You can easily see yourself there with a lover because its esthetic is romantic. You can see yourself hanging out there with friends because it's also festive. However, you can also see yourself sitting alone and enjoying the warm, beautiful surroundings while chatting with the gregarious bartender. I found the Mutiny Tiki Bar quite alluring. I definitely enjoyed myself and will definitely return. The drink menu is fabulous with so many cool choices to choose from. Many of the drinks are rum based. What could be more appropriate? I ordered the banana bread shot, which was super yum, and yes, it tasted just like a slice of banana bread. It was warm, aromatic, sweet, and tasty with a whipped cream topping. I also ordered the "Tusk of Plenty." The drink came in a little elephant shaped mug, with a teeny rubber duck taking a bath inside. To finish off the presentation, sprigs of rosemary adorn it and are toasted before it's placed in front of you. The drink is also festively lit with some sort of led lights. It was much more than a drink. It was like a ritual and was tremendously tasty. My drinks were served by the most wonderful, friendly bartender. I really enjoyed chatting with him. He took the time to explain some of the liquors that I was unfamiliar with, which helped me make the right choices for the evening. The drinks are moderately priced for sure. Parking isn't too plentiful on Vernor, but it's on a corner, so there's side street parking. Munity Tiki Bar is more than a neighborhood bar. It's actually a tropical escape. Go check it out, I promise that when you walk in, you'll immediately be transported to a tropical hideaway.

It looked a little better online lol it’s a small like hole in the wall. It’s ok. No food. Just big tropical drinks that actually were pretty good.
