My husband and I visited People's Pierogi while at the Eastern Market. It is a very busy spot, right near one of the entrances. The smell was absolutely amazing as you walked by.We opted to share the Polish plate, which included your choice of a cheese filled or plain kielbasa on a bun, sauerkraut, sour cream and your choice of three pierogies. We opted for a plain kielbasa with one each of a cheddar and potato, spinach and artichoke and kielbasa pierogy. For $13, the value was amazing. It was absolutely enough food to fill both of us up.The pierogies were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The dough was a bit thicker than homemade, but still very tasty. The fillings all had incredible flavour. The meat filling was nice to try, however I preferred the more traditional potato and cheddar, as well as the unique and creamy artichoke filling. The kielbasa had a great flavour, but was just a bit dry. While it was very busy, the pickup process was fairly streamlined and easy, and there was enough room to stop at the side table for extra condiments, cutlery and napkins.Overall, we were both very happy with our meal. I recommend trying People's Pierogies as a pit stop during your shopping adventures at the Eastern Market!Vegetarian options: Lots of different perogy options, with and without meatParking: Street parking and parking lots nearby

We tried the "artichoke spinach" and the "potato cheese" at the Eastern Market on a Saturday. They were both delicious!! I generally prefer potato with out cheese but the cheese in these was super subtle so it worked out well. Don't say no to the sauerkraut-it's super yummy. We did say no to sour cream but I bet it's good too

To be clear, this review may not be fair to People's Pierogi. Having traveled quite a distance to shop at Eastern Market, I found myself needing nourishment and stumbled across People's Pierogi. I approached and stood behind a gentleman who was waiting to receive the food he ordered. The woman behind the table looked at me and proceeded to retrieve the gentleman's order. I was thoroughly impressed with what was handed to him. I heard them mention that it was a hotdog. While I don't often eat hot dogs, I made up mind and decided to have one this particular Saturday morning. The woman handed him his hotdog, looked at me, and walked away. At this point, I questioned whether or not People's Pierogi wanted my business. Initially, I decided to take my business elsewhere. But then I yelled, can I order a hotdog? Another worker, who seemed pleasant said, "You place your order in the line over there." Now I understand why the woman didn't take my order. In my opinion, as a potential customer, I should have been acknowledged by the first worker who could have directed me appropriately. Because I felt disregarded, People's Pierogi will never get my business. My two cents.

I tried this place while visiting Eastern Market. They had a long line, but they cleared it very fast. Prices vary based on the amount of pierogi you order. The smallest batch is 4 pierogi for $7. I ordered the spinach and artichoke and the corned beef and cheese. Both pierogies were really tough and unappealing. The corned beef did not have any cheese, and the spinach and artichoke only tasted like spinach. I did not care for them. I'm assuming others did like them as the line was long, or they could have just been trying a new spot just like me. Who knows....??‍♀️

Probably the most poppin' food stall at Eastern Market. Friends had recommended their pierogis so we decided to stop by on a Saturday afternoon. We got a Polish plate with a regular sausage and 4 different pierogis (corned beef, spinach and artichoke, jalapeño popper, and potato and cheese). The food was good - the sausage was hot and fresh and we really enjoyed the sauerkraut topping. The corned beef pierogi was definitely the best one, followed by the potato. The spinach and jalapeño ones tasted...accurate, for lack of a better word. I think I'd rather eat a regular jalapeño popper. Overall I thought it was a good but expensive for what it was.

PPC catered our wedding with 2 other food trucks. They. Were. Amazing. EVERYONE loved the food and the pierogi were the biggest hit. Not only is the team awesome to work with but the food is just so good. Highly recommended for any event that needs food! Thank you PPC! We will be coming to Eastern Market the next time we’re in Michigan to take some of these home!!!

As I was downtown walking around Eastern Market a few weeks ago; I saw a line with people walking away with these humongous sausages. I knew that I wanted to try it at that point, so I stepped right in line! As I walked up to order, I saw that I wanted to order some pierogis! I order the Spinach and Artichoke; Potato and Farmers Cheese, and Corned Beef and Swiss pierogis! The liked the Potato and Cheese the best, but all were good. I also ordered a sausage! Very good! I ordered it plain (I know, know. What's the point without the sauerkraut, lol)... I definitely will return whenever I'm back at the Eastern Market! Very friendly and fun staff, great food, and great prices!

Picked up a package of these corned beef swiss perogies at eastern market on Saturday. 1st time trying people’s perogie. The dough is perfect, the filling Soooo goood! I absolutely will be purchasing more in the future. And trying out their other varieties as well. So many varieties to choose from!

My family makes homemade pierogies and People's Pierogies are just as good, with creative flavors. Loved the buffalo chicken and jalapeno popper.

Really surprised. Vegetarian mushroom were packed with well cutup mushroom and they are great size too. Some other places just fill them with the cheaper ingredients like potatoes. Really happy with first purchase. Need to find out if the sweet cheese is vegetarian or has animal rennet (bones) in the cheese like most cheeses do.
