Food is always good. I miss the little setup where you can sit and eat. It would be lovely if they expanded their menu. The rum cake is STRONG.Parking: The plaza parking lot is very small and close parking when backing out.

My lady and I just had the Jerk Salmon. I used to make it here on the grill. I am now prohibited from doing so. I now must get Jerk Salmon from The Jamaican Pot. LOL. Awesome!

I love their jerk chicken and beef patties. Any time I'm in Detroit or Southfield I try and get some.

Small take out restaurant that I was recommended by several customers who come to my beauty supply store. Finally decided to try this place out for our company lunch. The foods were amazingly good. Pick up was quick and easy. We especially liked jerk chicken and curry chicken. We will definitely do another lunch here soon.

I ordered food from this restaurant and I told the woman at the counter if the food was good i would write a review. Let me say the food I ordered was exceptional to say the least. i had the Jerk Chicken and Ox Tails combination plate with peach cobbler and this was by far the best meal I had in Detroit in a long time. Keep up the good work and I will be visiting this restaurant again soon.

I went there on March 7, 2024. My first time going I heard so many good things about this restaurant and food. I realize that everybody has your own version of jerk and every jerk is different. Just like every mac & cheese is different, anf every fried chicken is different. I guess I’m just not really a fan of boneless jerk chicken. The beans and rice were a little dry. I usually ask for a side of oxtail gravy on the side, but I didn’t this time . The cabbage was OK, not seasoned to my liking, the plantains were very good. The portion was good. I got a large it was a good size. I was just looking for The flavors of the Jamaican food that I’m used to in Brooklyn NY. I’m glad I went there, although . The service was good. I had ordered two beef patties, and when I checked my food, they were not there and I went back and told the lady and she apologized and gave them to me. I don’t know if I would go back, but I would say try it for yourself and support small black business. A lot people seemed to like their food, and it was busy.

This place is The Jamaican Pot I thought the food was tasty But the ambiance could be cleaner. The curry goat tasted like it had been on the warmer all day. But was still tasty. The jerk chicken was good. The cabbage was delicious and the " Ting " a grapefruit soda really delicious and refreshing. Let's not forget the plantain. The lady at the counter taking my order was super nice and patient with a smile. The only thing I will say is the place needs a cleaning and location might have you looking over your shoulder . But flavorful Jamaican food you must try.
