When are Black people going to stop settling for subpar food at these mediocre establishments this place is horrible from the staff to the food to that location to the restrooms everything absolute nasty and what infuriates me the most they try and make it seem like this is white cloth table service this is low brow, ghetto mess, never ever again!

January 2023 my birthday here was amazing. I was quite surprised in December to find that everything had changed. NO fine dining anymore. The baby grand piano is gone, as well as the linen tablecloths, napkins, glasses and silverware. Your order is now served in a carry-out container, sides in cups w/lids, bread wrapped in foil. You're eating with plastic forks and drinks are served in plastic cups. The menu now is your basic diner or coney island'ish. I asked about the piano and was informed that a band performes later, probably the same band that was next door at the jazz club ??? The Motown Bistro used to be an experience in fine dining, a delightful establishment. For $94.00+ I expected better. Upper class to low class, I can see the end coming. Oh the memories !!!

I was allowed to make reservations for brunch. I received confirmation of my reservation and I received a reminder the day before my scheduled reservation, only to find out the place was closed. Having little choice, my party of three and I were coaxed into eating at the restaurant next door. The experience at the restaurant next door was even worse. We have to eat our meal from a styrofoam container and drink a cocktail from a plastic solo cup. What should have been a nice outing with friends turned out to be one of my worst restaurant experiences to date. Never again

The food is sooooo good and the server was awesome! The only thing is the drinks are pricey and certain items on the menu is little to expensive. Its also automatic gratuity of 20% so be aware of that.

I booked online and when I got there I was told they were not open, they had a brunch going on. I was not the only person who book online that was disappointed. I had other people meeting me there which they could have put that online that they had something else booked.

While the experience was overall 8.5 on a 10 scale; was taken aback by spending more on 3 drinks than one entree. Did enjoy the fact that our server was highly attentive even going as far as bagging our meals and providing extra condiments. Definitely will go back just with a bigger budget ?

The food at the restaurant disappointed me as it was served cold and tasted unpleasant. Moreover, the temperature inside the establishment was uncomfortably warm. Unfortunately, I had to wait for an hour before my food arrived. Although the music was decent, the volume was too loud. It is worth noting that the restaurant expects a 20% gratuity, which seems excessive. Additionally, there are extra charges incurred when paying by card. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and will be looking for an alternative option for my next meal.

Unfortunately my husband and I didn't get to be served. They set us at a table, and took almost a hour just to ask us “what would we like to drink”? No appetizers or food was put in either. We watch people that came in after us get served. It sucks, because the restaurant did not seem bad and the Jazz was good. I've heard good things about Motown bistro that's why I decided to give it a try, but everybody experiences is different.

Overall - ok. The menu listed on the website was not the same as what was presented at the actual restaurant (only about half of the menu from the website). There also appeared to be new price increase. It was extremely hot inside, they had fans in some areas not turned on, when we asked to turn them on the server advised that the strings weren't long enough to reach :( Service was very slow - especially considering there were maybe 2-3 tables filled when we arrived and it took forever just to get beers and soup/salad. I'll cut them a break on the entree delay as my husband ordered a 50 oz. tomahawk steak which took 40 minutes to cook. Overall the food was mediocre which was unfortunate as this restaurant seemed to have potential. I do like the live music aspect. However, while the pianist was talented, he played no "Motown" style music just Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett style music.

The menu at the restaurant is significantly different than what is posted online. No surf and turf. No crab legs or lobster. We actually asked if they accidentally gave us the lunch menu because it was so small. The service was absolutely awful, waited for water, drinks (which were warm mixed drinks), waited for ice for our warm mixed drinks, waited for the bill and boxes. The food we ordered was delicious, but not what we had come for :)

I frequent this restaurant and enjoy the nice soft music while I’m dining. My husband chose to bring me and my mom here for a nice relaxing Mother’s Day Brunch. However we walked into a club atmosphere with music playing way too loud. And we only wanted one glass of mimosa but would have had to pay $30 because it was bottomless.I should have the option to pay for one glass. For Mother’s Day the music should be more relaxing that’s what we need. Loud DJ music is for Friday and Saturday nights not Sunday afternoon. F

Food was delicious but came out an hour after ordering. Sides were cold but meat/seafood was hot and fresh.Service was terrible, had to ask multiple times for the same thing, and we did not receive our complimentary dinner rolls/bread until AFTER I asked about it seeing as it was not on the menu but we saw tables around us receiving it. Waiter did not check on us at all periodically- only came to take order, deliver food, and drop off bill. The food/ambiance is nice, but customer service needs to be improved tremendously for me to ever recommend or patronize this establishment again.
