We visited this bar on our birthday trip last night and it was amazing. Service was great and the the drinks were awesome. Super chill vibe but can get loud. Either scene you are looking for you will enjoy here!!

Having only been to this establishment twice it's a bit of a toss up.Awesome ambiance, great drinks, but so-so on the customer service front.My party was roughly nine minutes late for our reservation and upon entering the hostess had noted she was about to give us a courtesy call (which I thought was cool but perhaps a bit overkill as I had just confirmed via text that we'd be there for our reservation). Not even ten seconds after that we were informed by the same hostess there was a "15 topper" coming in after us which in turn made me feel like we needed to get our drinks and move along with haste. I don't expect a warm embrace at a bar, but having an experience as opposed to be moved like cattle is a welcome feeling.Lastly, in a weird turn of events our server was a mixed bag as our waters stayed consistently full we never received our popcorn.

This is a long over due review. Sugar House is my absolute favorite cocktail bar in Detroit. If I could give it a million stars I would. I have been coming here for at least 11 years. The atmosphere is always fabulous and the staff has never been anything but perfect. My favorite drink is a Ramos Fizz ( which is very hard to find anywhere) and SH makes them perfectly. Their seasonal menus are always delicious and full of amazing choices. Alway get a bowl of Truffle Popcorn, trust me don’t skip it. That popcorn is delicious. The staff is fanatic, I love sitting at the bar and watching them make all of those dtinks. It amazes me over and over every time that I am there. I will be a customer for life.

Showed up on a Sunday without a resy and was able to to be seated immediately. Their cocktail menu is insane with 101 constant options and a large amount of seasonal choices. I encourage anyone who comes here to read over all of options as each cocktail is crafted with expertise and intention. The space is dimly lit and gives a nice romantic vibe for a date night! Street parking is the only available option as far as I know but since it was a Sunday night it was easy to find a space. I wouldn't not skip on the truffle popcorn!

Great drinks and great atmosphere, went there for date night and they had all sorts of cocktails. Although we weren't fond of the house made cocktails (not our flavor profiles), many other patrons seemed to enjoy and we loved ours. Right across from the old train station too! Not sure if they serve any food, we did not ask nor given a menu for it.

Wow- this place is dangerously awesome. Amazing drinks and amazing vibe. Love, love this place. We could've easily stayed all night but had a couple drinks and promised to be back soon. I had the One Flask in my Pocket as recommended by our bartender, wow, delicious. Not too sweet but sweet and delicious. I can't believe it's taken us this long to come here. There is a large bar with lots of seating and is in a great location for after dinner. Love this bar!! Thanks Sugar House for living up to all my expectations!
