Roy at the ghost bar was excellent and a great mixologist. Arrive early to tour the beautiful archetecture Alfred runs a great place, he let us in the garden to see the daffodils early prior to our dinner. Ghost bar rocks.

Last time I went, i was seated upstairs by the window and it was COLD!!!!. This time, I insisted on first floor. I recommend the same for everyone because first floor has so much better atmosphere than the upper floors. I am paying big hunk of what I pay for atmosphere. Brunch food was.... OK. I mean nothing screamed out UNTIL i got to the prime rib. It was one of the better prime ribs I ever had. 5 star plus for PR and 3 for the rest of the food, therefore 4 stars for food. With that said, I was satisfied and would return again. The food is only a part of overall dining experience. We have plenty of cookie cutter or ever worse chain restaurants. Therefore, I think it is important to patronize gem of restaurants like this.

For a birthday and concert evening out...I felt upon entry we were placed in an dark empty back area room with dark walls that did not feel inviting and didn't give us any welcome hospitable feeling. We had to ask to be seated In the main dining area with window seating, where there were not many people seated but it was definitely a more welcoming space with lots of natural light, brighter wall coloring and many windows. The chairs could use a good cleaning. I didn't want to lean back in my chair and I was wearing black clothing.I didn't agree with a shot of Don Julio Anejo being $38 and the fact the waitress brought it even though blanco was requested. She couldnt even be bothered to check before she brought it. A bottle could have been purchased for that amount. The food was very good. Caesar salad was great. I normally have house salad so it was a nice change with cherry tomatoes added. The calamari was very fresh and had a zesty lemon flavor and texture, not rubbery. The petite mignon was requested well done and had just a bit of char which I liked. The Beef Wellington was tender on the inside and crisp on the outside with the breading. It came with a great sauce for dipping. And the veggies were very fresh and seasoned as I would have done myself. Overall, visit was ok. I would like to give it another go, maybe.Parking: Attendants were friendly and efficient. I left my phone in the car and they brought it Into the restaurant after I was seated. They were kind.

Thank you to Keitha for excellent service. The food was delicious. The pre-concert meal is an excellent choice if you are going to the symphony afterward.

The Whitney is THE place to go for great food and atmosphere. It's an experience whether eating outside in the garden, inside or just drinks at the Ghost Bar.
