Just like a typical Detroit Lions season, this is one of the most disappointing, if not the most disappointing Whole Foods location I have been to. I have been to a handful in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul and some in the Greater Toronto Area and this is by far the worst one out of them all. First of all, there is a lack of selection here compared to other stores I have been to. The small store size in comparison to other locations should already raise suspicions. Most likely, products you want would likely not be found here because most of the shelves are empty or they unnecessarily overcharge, and don't bother getting any fruit products from here - they certainly didn't look fresh, ripe or high quality at all. At least from my experience. Additionally, the washrooms are located in a rather inconvenient and somewhat inaccessible location - on the second floor. Really!? Despite an elevator being available, why would you put your washrooms on the second floor and none on the main level? Secondly, the area is not the greatest or safest. Despite being near a hospital and modern-ish buildings, the surrounding area is rather sketchy and does not present a positive vibe for the store environment. You certainly do not want to have the lingering thought of being attacked or someone breaking into your car on you. I won't be back at this location and will look towards other Whole Foods locations within the Metro Detroit area. The one big positive about this location is the staff here are very friendly and helpful. I do want to put that out because my experience here was not all negative. However, I still do not think driving two hours from London, Ontario was not worth it at all. I came to this location thinking it would be better than the locations in Toronto. Boy, was I wrong! Next time, I think I will just go to Toronto to do my Whole Foods shopping there. In fact, watching the Lions fail miserably at nearby Ford Field would be a better choice of activity rather than come to this Whole Foods location.
