“We had a blast at our last location of the day! I have been wanting to come to Dimes for quite some time. I worked in Mason for about 3 months in 2020 nur everything was closed so I couldn't get here. Dimes has been on our list since then. It was quite busy for such a cold night. But the patrons wanted their beers! It was nice to see so much enthusiasm. You go in and order at the counter. They will help you with selections. They have some games and we enjoyed playing some personal music trivia. It was a super fun ending to an awesome, unexpected day! Cheers!”

“We usually go to a different place on the East side but we were in the area on the other side of town and saw this place and gave it a shot. We are glad we did. We did chicken kabob, beef kabob, lamb kofta, falafel. Everything was fantastic.. I have made my own falafel but their falafel was so much better than mine. We have been there 2x’s and we will be definitely going back”

“This place was incredible! The classic cheeseburger and side of fries were absolutely perfect. The fries were crisp and tasted exactly like McDonald's, just better.The battered mushrooms blew my mind, I will definitely be coming back for those.My only complaint, the jalapeno mac and cheese could have used a little more seasoning. That's all! I also think a mushroom Swiss burger would be great on your menu. Thank you”

“Tried for the first time tonight. Wonderful food, small menu but definitely fills you up. Had the dumplings and they were delicious! My friend loved her spicy beef patty that came with two spicy and vibrant sauces.Not recommended if you're a vegetarian but for all the meat eaters out there, this is the place!”

“Love this sweet book store. Great selection of books for readers of all ages and genres. Staff will help you find what you’re looking for, and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you, or you can easily order online from their website and go pick it up when it arrives. Cafe has a variety of beverages ranging from coffees to flights of wine to cocktails to unwind. There are also snacks, baked goods and heavier fare if you are more than a little hungry. They have events during the week, they change it up quite a bit. Plenty of seating to catch up with a friend, do a little studying, or just buy a book and get lost in it. A lovely addition to the area, really glad it’s here.”

“This is a lovely place! Unique menu items, great flavors, nice portions and great service. Went to another restaurant but they had water main issues so they recommended the soup spoon cafe. I fell in love. Went back again to take my boyfriend out to breakfast and I knew he wouldn’t be disappointed. I was right! He love it as well. No doubt, it will become a regular spot from now on!”

“Your typical BBQ spot. It's a big space decided in several sections. Music is usually heavy metal, primarily Iron Maiden. Lots of artists work decorate the walls. We stopped for lunch and there were few people grabbing food as well. Service was friendly and fast. Place was clean and entertaining to take in the art on walls. Food came out fast from time of order. There are trays with about six different BBQ sauces and ketchup on every table. It was good, nothing memorable to go back for.”

“Great interior design and a good chai. Layout and flow doesn’t support conversation building, studying or reading. Not clear where cashier is or dishes go and the door is locked half way. Just clunky but quality drinks.”

“I pointed Babes out to my boyfriend recently and mentioned we should try them out soon as the menu looked so tasty. He surprised me today with an order to try out a few of their sandwiches: the Betty, the Margaret, and the Fran. My first comment is on the size. He ordered halves, with the thought that they would be smaller sandwiches that would be just a couple bites for us to try. We didn’t realize that it was half a sub! But we powered through, because after one bite, there is no way we weren’t going to try all of them. Literally, some of the best sandwiches either of us have ever had in our lives. So much flavor, the perfect bun, and everything was obviously put together with so much thought. The Margaret in particular was my favorite; a little bit of heat and a tad sweet. So glad to finally tried Babes out, and so thankful to have a new Lansing favorite! Highly, highly recommend.”

If you have a developed palette for good coffee, this is the best place to go in Lansing! Also best black brewed coffee! And, it’s not just the best because we’re in Lansing. “The food was delicious! Our 4-top had the Cacio de Pepe, Scottish Salmon, Tenderloin Tips with Pasta and Vegan Burger and a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. “OMG...This place brings you back to when the world used to be normal, people were happy, families connected over going out to eat, and things were affordable. An old old-school pull-up, order, car-hop type place. Comparable to Olympic Broil, but a little better. If Nip 'n Sip was smart they would play up on their uniqueness, rather than changing to become more like the garbage of the 2020s. Granted, the prices are trending higher, but still a great deal. The food is beyond DELICIOUS, portions are great. I've tried the olive burger, chili burger, chili cheese-o fries, fried mushrooms, and the Hammy Sammy. All are perfect, good portions, delicious as hizhell, just AWESOME!!! Love this place, I would eat here every day if I could (it would be an olive burger and something else)!”

“Authentic Mexican cuisine in a family owned and operated local restaurant. As such the staff is very responsive, kind, and helpful. The decor is understated, but tasteful. The menu is well varied and they will prepare and spice the food as you desire. I had the Birria Tacos Lengua with accompanying consumme and was absolutely blown away. The restaurant is definitely family/kid friendly with ample parking and is handicap accessible.”

“Hit up Toads in Grand Ledge for a business meeting and wow, what a spot! The vibe is just right – cozy and welcoming. Coffee? Fantastic. It's like they know exactly how to make your day better. And the staff? Couldn't be nicer, making you feel right at home.I dove into the breakfast bowl, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The sausage was perfectly seasoned with just the right kick of spice. Whether you're here to work or just chill, Toads nails it. Definitely my go-to for a great atmosphere and killer coffee.”

“Best food I've had in the greater Lansing area. Period. Highly recommend the Pollo Saltado & Lomo Saltado. Ingredients were fresh, seasoned to perfection, prepared & served with precision, passion, and care. I am an omnivore -my only restriction being no lactose- and had a host of options to choose from, although there are many vegetarian options on the menu as well. Was fortunate enough to meet Jose and am impressed by everything he's put in to Tantay. Cannot wait for Tantay's full-sized restaurant location to open in Okemos. Looking forward to becoming a regular.”
