Wouldn't recommend after new ownership! Burnt food, incorrect orders, downsized portions, and simply no flavor. Take out has forgotten items on many occasions and they've cut back on sides ( no more salsa and chips with burrito) Use to be favorite place. Avoid spending your money!

Mario’s has been a staple in our lives for 40+ years. Tried and true menu and staff. Sadly, since the change of ownership, things are slipping. Wait times have increased but we’ve been patient as everyone is struggling with that. A few subtle menu changes, which was expected with new ownership, but disappointing when it is a favorite item that changes. The most recent disappointment is the change of the nachos supreme recipe - a huge menu go-to for us. It now consists of dried out beef, about 5 pieces of lettuce and a HEAP of black olives (yuck). It was perfection before… Absolutely dreading a pizza recipe change! I’ve waited a while to write this review, but it’s this time to say it like it is: It has changed and not for the better. ?

This is a pretty small and cozy restaurant. It is one of my favorite places in town to eat at. Beer and wine are available. I love their pizza and feel that it's the best in town and I've tried nearly all. I would describe their crust as thin when compared to other pizza places. The other menu items can hit and miss. Their wet burrito is good but not great. They recently overhauled their menu and added a few items. They now have one or two soups available daily and I gave a big thumbs up for the chicken noodle. Their Italian salad dressing is made inhouse and is very good. They do get busy and they do some bang up drive-through business. They open at 16:00, so I either suggest getting there before 17:30 or try for a later dinner around 19:30. They are under relatively new ownership and there have been some ongoing adjustments being made to the staff, menu, and preparation. I like Kayla and Shelly for my waitress. I would describe parking as adequate for the location. As another reviewer mentioned, an Olive Garden will open soon in this market and I hope that it will prove to be some healthy competition as any restaurant should have the room and impetus to improve.

Since they got new owners the food is not the same, salsa was not good extremely watery. Chips were old. We told them we didn't like it it change anything though.

Could be a great restaurant and they need to worry because Olive Garden is opening soon, only two miles away. However, Sunday night October 22, was a disaster. The restaurant advises being open from 4 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, but they turned out the entrance lights and the open sign at 7:15 pm. Customers were turned away. My wife order feta chine alfredo and at 7 pm they were out of feta chine noodles. How can that happen. Finally, I asked if I could substitute soup for salad even with a slight up charge. A flat no from the Manager on Duty. This place has a full liquor license and could do very well with creative management. It has plenty of parking. I live in the City of Holland.

Pizza has always been a favorite. The wet burrito and chips and salsa are also great. Love that they now have a hot salsa option!

Top tier Italian food in Michigan- our server was so friendly and made great recommendations! My favorite part was the Mario in the entrance greeting you!

Half taco salad was greasy with almost zero dressing. Burrito sauce was not good on a flat overdone burrito.Wait time was long despite 5 empty tableswe sat with another couple who were waiting for their food and our food arrived before theirs. Not likely to return

Don't let the look fool ya! This place has excellent service and where else can you get a burrito and spaghetti at the same place!

Do not go here if you want your food the same day!!!!!! As i write this my husband has been waiting 30 minutes for a pizza we ordered 90 minutes ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! their pizza is great but i don't know how they stay in business. It's a shame because it has changed hands recently and they will never make it with this kind of service. It has now been an hour and 40 minutes and they just gave him our pizza!!!!!!

I heard rumors that Mario's changed ownership. I have no idea if that's true. I've been eating here since the 80's. Got a large pizza tonight. Perfect Mario's Pie. Great job! As per usual.

I ordered a 12” and received something I didn’t order. The manager was very angry and rude telling me no refunds and to leave. I will never go back.
