I love this little place and the fresh salad bar! But today I tried a protein smoothie, and it was very subpar. It was mostly made with ice. They used a very green banana, and protein powder that was flavored with sweeteners :/No almond butter available and no protein powder without sweeteners are available.

This used to be one of my favorite places for lunch. Visited today. The place was filthy. The salad wilted. The toppings clearly not handled properly. Disappointed and grossed out.

A wonderful little salad bar for a simple and delicious lunch. My partner took me here after hearing some good things from friends and it didn't disappoint. Everything was very clean and in order. You just grab a to-go container and load up on greens and toppings. The price of my salad was comparable to a mid-range restaurant. I didn't try the soups, but service at checkout was fast and easy. If you read the negative reviews remember the East Lansing crowd can be a little snooty when it comes to uncomplicated food.

The Leaf ?. Oh, how I've missed you. I used to eat here quite frequently when I worked in EL. The boss is in town for the week. He took us to lunch, but we had to decide on the place. It was a no-brainer.The selections you have available are outstanding, and no salad bar can compare. From the 3 types of lettuce to the 30,000 toppings (a little exaggerated) and all the selections of dressings. Hats off to you folks. Thank you for a great lunch. You made my tummy happy. ?

Please give Heidi a raise. She let us come on despite trying to close. I was grieving and needed healthy food but couldn't process preparation and her excellent service and over the top helpfulness made the already delicious food taste even better.

My friend and I ordered spinach salads with multiple toppings. A few bites into our salads, we realized there were LARVAE and WORMS in the spinach. We called the store immediately and they said they do not rinse (or check) the greens because they come pre-packaged. The worker stated they couldn't do anything about it because they weren't a manager. No apology whatsoever. Do not recommend to anyone.
