“We saw this place near by where we were staying and decided to check it out. So very glad we did! This shop is ran by a wonderful person who makes amazing food. We had some awesome homemade soup and fried pickles with tea and a mixed lemonade. We were even offered refills before we left which was very much appreciated! Great prices for great food and experience. 10 out of 10 highly recommended you stop here.“

“Took our son here to celebrate his 12th birthday. They had a space setup for us and had printed celebratory signs wishing him a Happy Birthday by name. The staff took great care of us, quickly getting orders from our pretty big group and getting everyone their tasty treats right away. This was our first time going here after we did a search for where to have a milkshake party, our sons birthday request. We will be returning for sure!“

We’ve tried A LOT of the flavors, regular and seasonal, and have liked every single one. Some of our top favorites are blueberry cheesecake, pumpkin pecan pie, coffee brownie swirl, and strawberry brownie cheesecake. Plenty of space to dine in on the patio or inside the restaurant. Vanilla Bean is also one of the only places we've found that offers dairy-free ice cream that still tastes amazing! You can make any flavir into a shake or sundae, which are definitely worth the upcharge. “A group of us usually comes here on a Saturday evening. Many times it's been extremely busy, yet they get through the line quite rapidly. They are always friendly and the Ice cream is the best in the area. I have to watch my sugar intake, so I am really happy they offer sugar free varieties.. and they taste just as wonderful as the ice cream with sugar. I have family that comes up every year and it’s tradition that we get shakes and malts at Flavor Freeze. “I have tried every place that has any kind of Boba in the area and Icy Bar is BY FAR the best. Their tea and flavors are really good and you can customize your drink. They have a huge menu with so many kinds of tea and fun seasonal flavors. They're always quick. This is the only place my friends and I will get Boba.“

“Good custard, even better service. Came in 30 mins before closing on a Sunday night, and the place was packed. There were like 10 cars in the drive thru line plus 10 people in the people line. One of the workers came out to the drive thru to get everyone's orders and payment, then literally sprinted back inside, made the sundae and brought it back out to the cars.“

“What a great find! One of my favorite memories of Mexico is going to la paleteria and having pistachio ice cream. This was like being in another time and place. The ice cream is so fluffy and delicious. We tried the mango leche, brownie and pistachio ice creams. They were 10/10 on taste. We also had nachos with jalapeños and chicharines with lime and salsa Valentina. The agua de melón is out of this world and my sister loved her agua de piña colada. It’s a small space but it’s cosy. “This place has changed so much! It’s amazing how clean they keep it. The cashier mentioned it was just remodeled and they are very focused on the hygiene of the place. I saw the cashier clean the topping bar and machines after each customer. They are serving some of the best Froyo I’ve ever had. Hands down best place in south bend for ice cream! “Gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because I didn't dine in. When ordering from the drive-up they always make you pull forward with a number attached to your car... sometimes it seems like forever till you get your food, but this time and this location, the food came out very quickly. My favorite is the double mushroom; it's da bomb ? ??. Onion rings rock too, the cheese curds here used to be completely fantastic, but now they mix in the yellow cheese with a white cheese and it's only half okay 1/2 ?“

“I always come to this location because the employees are SO nice. Yesterday I parked with a curbside order during a rush and it didn't come out for about 20 min. I figured they were probably backed up or something and called the store to see what was up. I wasn't even mad or anything, I just figured they'd bring it out or remake it! Turns out they accidentally gave it to someone else and were SO apologetic, not only did they remake my order fresh but they gave me multiple coupons for a free meal. They were super nice about it and it was just an honest mistake. Plus the food is delicious if you like a good burger and milkshake. Their custard is something you absolutely have to get otherwise you're just missing out. Overall, this is a good place to eat. I hope the employees are getting recognition for their hard work!“

“I visited twice this week. The first time i would have gave them 1 star because of the attitude of the lady. She kept the same attitude until i paid. The ice cream was not "bussin" today my kids said.The 2nd visit was better the lady this date was very nice and pleasant. The prices are a bit steep, but my kids like DQ and i feel they have the best ice cream so i am willing to pay.The line tends to be long, but they are USUALLY quick, unless someone has a large order in front of you and those are the people who need to walk in!They usually forget the spoons when i go there, so make sure to ask for them AND napkins.The ice cream cake is awesome here. I usually order the oreo blizzards, peanut buster parfait, dilly bars, and ice cream sundaes. I have not had many complaints except the workers attitudes.“
