“This place was an absolute treat to visit today. Drove past it and saw the park outside which is what initially drew up but after going in and seeing all they had to offer I was really blown away. My kids had an absolute blast, the employees went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and give suggestions, and everything we tried there was amazing. The coffee, the donuts, and the chocolate covered cherries are all things I can vouch for. If were ever in the area again we will definitely be back.”

“A classic "dive" bar. That's not a dig, it's a reflection of the charm the place has and the food. Only complaint is that the fries and onions rings could either cook or drain just a little bit longer, but that didn't stop us from gobbling them ”

“My wife and I and another couple stopped here on a Monday afternoon for a beer and absolutely loved this place. The setting was beautiful and the brewery itself looks like it used to be a house. There were firepits and lots of open space outside with a great view. The tap list was 18 options long and covered a wide variety of styles. They even have wine and everything we tried was very good. There is a pizza option on site which didn't happen to be open the day we were there but is a convenient food option on site. According to signage they often also have live music. If I lived anywhere near this brewery I'd go there all the time.”

“I recommend trying the tostada. So many yummy ingredients/toppings piled high on a flat crunchy corn shell. My favorite meat there is the shredded roast beef, but there are many others to try. The pork is good too. It's on the sweeter side and mixed with pineapple. LT's is a local's favorite with the quick drive-thru and friendly, family oriented, owners and employees. Indoor seating is not available but there are picnic tables, plenty of parking spots, and the nearby parks to eat at.Parking: In the Family Fare parking lot.”

“My wife loved the Iron Skillet.I had the biscuits and gravy, so good. The biscuit was huge and the gravy plentiful. Our waitress was fun and helpful. That homemade cinnamon toast was delicious. Most definitely, we will stop by any time we're in the area.”

“We stopped here at the Central Lake location on a day drive of the area. We left with several bottles of the Bloody Mary mix and vodka rhubarb and strawberry.The drinks were all fantastic, there is a large menu of choices. Drew was working that day and he was knowledgeable and made the trip fun. This is a place the locals love. They have several locations and i can’t wait to get home and start mixing.”

“Really a cute place! There was 6 of us but we were seated right away. I wish I would have asked our servers name...he was awesome! They had alot choices on their menu, and we all picked something different. I had a HUGE omelete. It was delicious! Everyone else had pancakes, eggs and sausage, or bacon...the consensus was their meals were great! Next time we come to Charlevoix we will stop here. This place is a winner!”

“My partner and I needed a place to stay while we were doing an art show in Charlevoix. We’d never been to Michigan before. The Blue Pelican exceeded every expectation we had and so much more. The room we stayed in was lovely- soft bed and pillows, everything was very clean, and the room was the perfect warmth for the time of year.We ended up eating at the restaurant downstairs for dinner two of the nights, and then breakfast on our last day. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS every time. The portion sizes were incredibly generous. The first night was fish and chips- the fish was battered beautifully and the chips had the most flavorful seasoning. The second night we got the Hawaiian pizza and fried pickles- again, incredible batter for the pickles and the pizza was that melty, cheesy perfection. And lastly, the biscuits and gravy- out of this world. So good. The sausage was flavorful and peppered just the right amount. The biscuits were soft and fluffy.The staff is what really blew us away. Everyone was so kind and attentive and generous. Our server Alix was incredible- even told us to take our time when we ordered late on Saturday night. AND gave us some fantastic local coffee shop recommendations. I saw and heard the manger Trisha compliment and thank every single one of the employees as the night wore down.Perfect stay, and I cannot recommend this inn and restaurant highly enough!”

“What a great small town bar with a friendly bartender and excellent bar food.My buddy had the black and blue Burger which I had a small taste of and it was excellent.I have the barbecue chicken sandwich on a bond that was also cooked to perfection.Just the right amount of fries and cold beer topped off our adventure.”

“I've been eating Pig Eating Ribs since its humble start of just a single food truck. Yet they continue to improve and add more options to their already impressive menu. The best part is that they offer cater for private events/weddings or just a fun group or family event at your home. I highly recommend the chicken wings and their pulled pork. Amazing food with top notch service from the owners and staff who genuinely care about the customers experience and the quality of their food.”

“Okay this is a updated review. Service was awesome, beer selection was okay but they had my favorite. Now let’s talk about the wings, other then my best friends wings in Buffalo New York with his special sauce. This place is close to it. Okay I was being nice to my friend. These wings blow his away! They oven bake, then deep fry to a crispy perfection. They have a special spice guy that comes in from the Michigan mountain chicken ranch to do his special magic powder. I call it chicken crack powder! Best wings ever in my life. I’m a fat bas/#%d with a heart condition and deserve to die. I hope to die near a plate of these chicken wings with the spices and sauce on my lips for my wife to taste on my death bed.”

“Wow! I am allergic to gluten so I have to have gluten free crust. I have learned to order cauliflower crust, because I’ve never had a gluten free crust that tasted like anything other than perhaps cardboard. We’ll that just changed! The gluten free crust at Classic Pizza is delicious! It was soft, and had flavor! I’m so happy that I put aside my negative attitude about GF crust and tried it, Classic Pizza is my new favorite pizza place!”

“At the risk of outting myself for being naughty and eating fast food, I feel obliged to give this establishment 5 stars for outstanding customer service, akin to a non fast food restaurant. Visiting Charlevoix on business in October, all of the local restaurants downtown were closed- some due to staffing shortages- we ended up at McDonalds with a surprisingly great experience. We sat at a table that appeared clean, but a staff member quickly jumped over to sanitize our table AND dried it. Instead of calling our order number and retrieving food at the counter, a staff member brought our food to our table (with a number card to associate our order with our table), AND asked if we needed anything else. THEN, the manager stopped over to recheck on us, above and beyond. The dining room was clean, and the views pretty darn pleasant. Kudos to the staff members, managers, and owner.”

“Food was your typical McDonald's and it was hot. I ordered at the counter (because those kiosks are terrible) and someone greeted me right away. I went to the counter to get a refill and no one was there, but after a minute, someone showed up and was quite apologetic.”
