I’d been to Bonchon’s in Troy before (it was great) but was wary to try this location because of the big difference in reviews - well, it’s like that for a reason.I got the chicken tenders.. it was essentially like I had ordered naked tenders. About 15% of the tenders actually had breading, which is insane considering this is a Korean Fried Chicken place, and the whole point is the crispy breading. This must be common at this location because I noticed other reviews mentioning that the chicken was overcooked - it gives an overcooked vibe because it was deep fried with barely any breading, so the outsides of most of the tenders were stringy and tough. And of course, not crispy at all, because of the lack of breading. Sauces were good, but overall not a good meal. Stick to the Troy location or stay away!

I would not recommend. I ordered veggie pot stickers that tasted like minced chicken meat, not vegetarian at all. I sent a picture of the potstickers and after much back and forth I was offered a return, but it was a to go item, I'm already home after a long day, and they would've been closed by the time I got back. I'll chalk this up to a $9 lesson not to eat there again.Vegetarian options: Noreally vegetarian options.

Ordered a large curbside order. Well the chicken seemed like leftover refried chicken. The pork sliders were definitely old the meat was hard and very rough even the fatty parts were tough and over cooked. Then the buns were so soggy they just fell apart. The plain chicken had absolutely no flavor and was just over fried. The rice was disgusting and smelled bad. I wasn't happy about any of the order. I picked it up just in enough time to set the food up for my event and was so disgusted, that I waited for a different food order to be delivered because I refused to serve that to my family and friends $200 down the drain... The young lady who carried it out to the car was so rude and nasty I knew then the food was gonna be trash.

I got the boneless chicken with half Korean BBQ and half spicy. Finally a place that can do spicy! Great heat and still has flavor. The BBQ sauce has a sweetness with a slight kick. The chicken was juicy.I also got the spicy potstickers. I love heat, but wow!!!!The girl behind the counter was really friendly and the food came out quick. I will be coming back.

Chicken was tough, dry and basically inedible, and fries were underdone and soggy. Not a great first impression!

Don't waste your time. Some of the most flavorless and bland chicken katsu I've ever had.. They won't even give you a cup for water with your meal (over 2 bucks for a small bottle of spring water!) Will not be returning or recommending.

This location gives bonchin a bad name. I ordered the Bao buns with pork belly...the pork was overcooked and hard, completely unedible. I couldn't chew it at all. I think the cook just didn't care ?‍♀️ $10 down the drain. And the parmesan fries were terrible. The parmesan they used taste like the cheap stuff in the green bottle at the grocery store. And they used some kind of artificial bottled butter that they tossed the fries with. If you work in a fast food kitchen, you know what im talking about.

I ordered the tteokbokki and garlic soy wings. I loved the flavor of the soy garlic wing sauce but was very little sauce on them. My tteokbokki was good, I expected it to be exceptional. The radishes seemed to be sitting in the container for too long and had a bad taste. I'm going to give this restaurant another chance, though, because I know that depending on who's in the kitchen could change your experience. Even though consistency matters.

Food was decent but needed more sauce on the whole wings. I don't prefer the included sides. Onion rings and fried rice tasted a bit off.

Terrible the food here not good at all especially when compared to the one in Troy. Service is poor as well I called to notify them about the food and it went nowhere. They chicken is not cooked the same as the other locations and I will never go here again.

My partner and I came in here randomly without any expectations and we were glad we did! Service was fast, the woman at the front was friendly and helpful. We ordered the tteokboki, spicy chicken wings, rice, and the corn. Food came out fresh and was AMAZING! One of our new favorite spots, highly recommend.
