You’ll find some of the best books, candles, readers, crystals, and jewelry in the local metro Detroit area.I was super blessed to find this place a couple of decades ago, and I invite anyone who’s looking for a reader, or just to relax, and be open to their inner self to find their way in to recharge. Oh - and the employees are kind, non-judgmental, and incredibly helpful.

Ive been here maybe three times and really wanted to like this place as I am a lover of things metaphysical, and I enjoy looking at their different variety of crystals and other statues, however every time I’ve been here the energy is just bad and off. Sometimes you get a “welcome” when you go in, other times not, but they never fail to make you feel completely watched. Even when just walking around I felt like they were judging my every movement. I’m not a fan of being treated “guilty until proven innocent” when I want to shop by the teenaged employees, so I rarely ever buy anything here, besides the fact that everything is sky high expensive. It’s weird a metaphysical store would want to treat all of their patrons like they are about to steal instead of wanting to exude friendly energy to those who are interested in buying their products and wish to talk about them. It’s a shame that Mystic Moon on John R closed as that was pretty much the last affordable crystal place around.

Just had a reading with Kelly and she had beautiful energy but her reading was very inaccurate and I asked her a specific question and the results were the opposite. There was a disconnect there and I feel she couldn’t connect with me and idk why…The reading I had before her was with Charise and she was so negative. The way she NEEDED me to know bad news and actually said to me the life you use to have was real, who would want someone to feel bad like that? When she first laid eyes on me she had this intense covetous look in her eyes and all in her energy. Honestly, she felt like a Karen who wanted me to feel bad about myself. Next, I had a reading with V months back who was judgmental and negative and yes I know if I’m having all these negative experiences why do I keep going back? Well I had a PHENOMENAL tarot reading with Elizabeth who was spot on very accurate, motherly and positive. When she needed to warn me, she articulated her message with high emotional intelligence. I’m actually still seeing results from what she said to me 2 years ago. I still like this place for the crystals, tea and Chinese Zodiac books. They will most likely delete this review

What a diamond in the rough! Great selection of bespoke loose teas, unusual candles, curated incense (very unlike many others I've found), books, tarot, and other uncommon items in a wonderfully inviting, amazingly open, spacious, calming and recently expanded/relocated space. I must have driven by a hundred times without noticing, as it is essentially invisible from the street (tucked inside a sort of light industrial area near a neighborhood brewery I enjoy).Spiritualism, meditation, and things like witchcraft, tarot, and Buddhism I spend little time thinking about, but I would definitely recommend this place for unique gifts, knick knacks, Buddha sculptures, or other things you're going to have difficulty finding elsewhere.I can't think of any other store like it I've visited in the entire Metro Detroit area, let alone the state of Michigan. In fact, if there is a store like it anywhere in the country, Canada, or Mexico, I've never seen it. Definitely worth checking out.

I love going here. It's 45 minutes from where I live, but the drive is worth it. My only complaint is that I always leave with way more than I should.
The Boston Tea Room is inviting, warm, and filled with everything you need to support deepening your own intuition and practice. The hazelnut vanilla rooibos tea is my all time fave.

We had Charise doing palm reading for our event. It was an absolute hit with the guests - everyone was absolutely lining up to get their reading. She was respectful, personable and an incredible addition to the night. Everyone agreed that the readings felt personal and very insightful.I couldn't recommend Charise and The Boston Tea room more.

From a former employee: DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! Management claimed to place a high priority on staff wellness but they have fired several people on the premise of being unwilling to accommodate their disabilities/health needs. Instances of sexual harassment in the workplace were handled horribly and insensitively. Overall one of the most hypocritical and toxic management teams I have ever worked for. They will try to combat every “negative” (truthful) review by insisting every one of these people had the wrong perception or is outright lying. How could that be the case when someone is simply sharing their experience? Management is so self-absorbed and convinced that they are and always will be “in the right”. For people that work in the spiritual industry, self-reflection and growth do not appear to be regular practices of this establishment. If you are a customer who values how companies treat their employees I would suggest spending your money literally anywhere but here.
