I hosted a baby shower here and my expectations were completely blown out of the water. All of my guests raved about the food (even the kids under 10 loved it!). We did the afternoon tea service and it was perfect.Service was so kind and really read the room and knew when we needed things and when to leave us to our celebration.I cannot recommend this place enough, especially for an event!

I haven't been here in a while, but when I came here for my birthday tea party with friends we all had an absolutely lovely time. Attention to detail, tantalizing flavours, wonderful service all in a cozy but eloquently designed tea room. Would recommend to any fellow teatime lovers, or anyone looking to try something new and fun. There is something for everyone here!

Loved everything about this tearoom. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy high tea in the English countryside and at tearooms as storied as the Empress in Victoria, and this was as lovely an experience as I’ve had anywhere. The pride of ownership is abundantly clear, and the service was stellar. Down to the individual place settings, every detail of tea was well attended to. The food was delicious and the portions easily four times that of other tearooms I’ve been to… and the quality did not suffer as a result of quantity.I’ll certainly recommend this place to others and plan to return the next time I’m in the Detroit area. Thank you for a wonderful time!

I would give this place 5 stars a million times if they’d let me. We came here for a small family only get together for my daughter’s 4th birthday. We had 3 kids with us and a number of adults. The service was amazing, we always had tea to drink, the men were kind, accommodating, helpful, I could go on. They went above and beyond, even bringing us ice cubes to cool the kids’ tea. They even went as far as changing the menu last minute for the kids by making a shaped peanut butter and jelly and a mini flatbread pizza. The kids gobbled them up and were soooo excited to get something special. They even made special bread-less sandwiches for my Aunt with allergies. They also made her a delicious fruit salad as her dessert. She was in awe that she was actually taken care of when normally she has to just deal with separating the things she allergic to or not getting to eat half of the meal. They listened, cared, and made exactly what she could eat and she was so happy. Each adult said “This place is impressive, this was amazing” and each kid said “I had soooooooo much fun!!!” Not a complaint was made. It was an amazing experience, wonderful and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful decorations, impeccable service, and all around unforgettable birthday for our little girl and anyone who attended. We will definitely be coming back and are so thankful for all that they did for us during our time there. 10/10 highly recommend anyone try this place out.Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my aunt’s allergies amazingly. They were so sweet, making her special “sandwiches” and dessert.Kid-friendliness: They made special sandwiches for the kids and they loved them. They also gave us a bowl of ice cubes to cool the tea for the kids. They were amazing with the kids, even listening to them ramble on and on.

I felt that this place was horribly overpriced for what you receive. For $20 I got a bag of tea (not loose leaf), 3-1 to 2 bite sandwiches and a small piece of cake. Half of the items tasted artificial or like they were bought from a grocery store, not homemade. I wasn't given a choice about what to eat.I think this place is good if you're celebrating, but the value for what you get is laughable.

I really wanted to love this place and truly believed I would. I actually had zero doubt I would absolutely love this place... but unfortunately I cannot say that I did.Ultimately it came down to the price - we spent $90 (which includes the tip we left) for two afternoon teas courses. These courses included tea, a scone about the size of a valentines day chocolate, a small cup of soup, a small side salad, a small plate of finger sandwiches and a slice of poundcake with a fruit topping. The tea itself was a selection of grocery store teabags that could have been sourced from the Kroger down the street. While I'll say that the food was mostly good, ultimately the serving sizes were so small that the price was absolutely outrageous.I would have loved to come in there and order anything I wanted (as opposed to being confined to ordering courses in general) as well as having been giving tea options I couldn't go pick up at my local Kroger. But again, the price. Had I walked out spending $50 I would have thought it was a fine dining experience... but for $90, I will not be returning.

I’ve been there 3 times and it’s been great each time. It’s a lovely place stuffed with antiques. The food is very good and the presentation is imaginative. The service is very good and very formal. We dressed up but there’s no dress code that I could see. Most customers were wearing business casual. Highly recommended. And yes, men are welcome.
