The coffee and pastries are good but not the most welcoming place. The staff has changed and the energy as well.

Would have rated higher if either my matcha was good or the employees were kind. Pick a struggle if you're going to be rude then just make me a good matcha ☹️

A great local coffee shop. Good basic coffee and the rotating baked goods have always been fun to try! They are always busy!

Every location is fantastic, but shout out to the busy yet patient employees at the Ferndale location today who pulled a combined 40 oz of espresso for me and the woman in front of me who are making tiramisu for Christmas. The coffee is always fantastic, and it's a great place to chill and do some work, too, especially the West Village and Jefferson Greenway locations (I assume the Midtown spot, too, but I haven't been in yet).

I came here for the first time a couple weeks ago and it won't be my last. I got a brewed coffee and an apple scone. The scone was perfectly baked and not too sweet. Eager to try their other baked goods.

Friendly service, good coffee and fresh pastries. Seating as a little tight.Breakfast biscuit sandwich is outstanding! With construction on 9 Mile, it may be easier to park in lot behind and use rear entrance.

Wonderful place! I'm a basic betty, but I can assert that they have a truly delicious vanilla latte. Really tasty eggy pop overs and salted caramel chocolate cake (plus lots more). Kind employees.Parking: There's not always open parking in the front, on the street, but you always find a spot in the back lot.

The red hook is a great little coffee shop and that offers some really good baked goods as well. It’s a very popular spot in Ferndale. The coffee is excellent. They have some really good pastries, including pop tart knock off which is about 1000 times better than an actual pop tart. Prices are OK here but you’re gonna pay a little bit for being in downtown Ferndale and for really quality food and beverage. The line can be a few people deep, but it always moves very fast. The staff here is always super friendly and willing to answer your questions. The one thing I didn’t enjoy too much was the chai tea latte- a little too thin in spices for my tastes. However, I think a lot of people probably really do like it. They really take care in roasting coffee. unfortunately they do not allow pets so you’ll have to have somebody there to wait outside with your puppy. Overall highly recommend red hook.Vegetarian options: Most of the pastries seem to be vegetarian they do have like an egg and cheese biscuit, so that would not be but overall just about everything should be vegetarian technically. Not sure about how vegans would do here or not because I didn’t pay that close of attention.Kid-friendliness: They have pastries and donuts and things like that the kids would probably like. Most of beverages, I think would appeal to adults, but you know you can get like a flavored tea or something that a kid might like.Parking: Most folks that visit the red Hook are going to be there in the morning. In Ferndale at least at the time of this review parking enforcement did not start until 11 AM. So if you’re there before 11, you can park in the lot behind and the street in front for free. there’s a nearby parking structure as well that I believe has the same rules For parking hours. You can access the restaurant from the back parking lot as well. There is a rear door that you can use so you do not need to walk around.Wheelchair accessibility: No problems with the wheelchair getting into this placeDietary restrictions: They really only offer coffee and tea beverages plus a few pastries, so not a lot of things that can go wrong with a big exception of possibly gluten but of course you’re not gonna order a pastry if you are a gluten-free person as always, just know your allergies and restrictions and ask these people are great about answering questions and will help you out

One of the best coffee shops I’ve stopped at in a while! They have unique offerings like a charcoal latte (which I got) and the basics as well. The charcoal latte was super creamy and a total delight. They offer vegan and non-vegan baked goods. Vegan ones were awesome. Ginger molasses cookie reminded me of the holidays because of the gingerbread flavor
