Our first experience at Applewood was excellent. We were seated right away, and our server, Joseph, was very attentive. The dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection. We had a very enjoyable experience and plan to go back again.

Applewood at 2nd and Sag is a real hidden gem in downtown Flint. The chefs and culinary students manning this fort are wonderfully skilled at their craft. This place offers gourmet cuisine at bargain bin prices. Proceeds go to the college. There is ALWAYS something on the menu that is delightful and interesting. I can't say enough about the quality of this establishment. Go here. You be happy you did so.

We had our company luncheon of 15 guests today at Applewood. I worked closely with Chef Lucchesi to organize the event. We had a marvelous time, the food and desserts were outstanding and beautifully presented. Chef Lucchesi and the students were so kind, efficient and made this event unforgettable. We will be back soon. Thank you!!

Applewood never fails to impress. The only negative is that it's only opened for lunch.

The food was average, the vegetarian pie was salty. For some reason because it was a culinary arts schools I was expecting something different.I do not know, but PLEASE, Go and COPY How Starbuck Cafe presents its Food.” Learn from them how they TRAIN baristas….The building as you can see in the pictures is pretty, but is EXECUTION what DIFFERENTIATE one restaurant from the other is MINUS B. The execution here was average. Yeah, maybe the students will end up working in hospitals, but not in high level restaurants. This store Should Be the Marketing FACE of the SCHOOL. After being there one time, I would NOT spend money in sending my kids to that program, nor taking classes there. And This Is Not the Fault of The Students. This is a typical college selling what they do best promises of classes and more classes, but not successful outcome. To do that, they need to upgrade the Entire Program. Yes, from the moment I enter to the store, I am a shopper that is deciding to be a return customer. In my case that I go to downtown in very few occasions is a clear NO.We CAN DO BETTER FLINT… just look at the restaurant in front of street, The Flint Crepe Company and learn one or two things.

Burgers are "okay" nothing to write home about. Customer Service is not on point, I see why Robotics are taking these type of jobs. Even simple things like "labeling" , i.e. no onions , w/cheese etc.The excuse was "we didn't have a marker today".... WTH? Today!.writing.. utensils are available across the street at the print shop. Why should customers "finger" each other's food to find which order is which? The food box is white, even a pen or pencil would do!I don't care about Culinary, how about "common sense"? How about basic service training. I swear, the employees of today are throwing away money, growth opportunity and more. The this burger is also very rare.... This is dig food!$40 dollars for burgers we had to finger to figure out. I'm good. All the best. But Never again.

We introduced my 7-week old grandson and 6 year old niece to gardens. Flowers. Plants. Peace. It was lovely.
